1, PROFESSOR CHINUA ACHEBE: Professor Chinua Achebe has actually never been short of recognition at any point in time, but in 2011 his decision to turn down the National Award offered him by the current administartion earned applause across Nigeria. It was seen as a statement of condemnation to the parlous state of things in Nigeria, which according to him, had not changed since he turned down similar honour 7 years ago. Prof Achebe has continued to lead the way in showing that you can use your good name to jolt government to action. We hail Prof Achebe for this action. But will it earn him a place in our Hall of Fame? You decide



2, SLAIN CORPERS: They were youths. They were serving their country. They were called to come help the National electoral body in conducting elections. But they ended up in their graves. Many people have named them the heroes of the relatively successful 2011 elections. From Bauchi to Suleja, their memories linger. Will they get an immortalization here as inductees into our Hall of Fame for 2011? It's your choice.

3, ASIWAJU BOLA TINUBU Known as the Asiwaju(leader) of opposition, Bola Tinubu is the strongest political personality from the South-West today and perhaps the fiercest nightmare to the ruling PDP. In 2011, he not only snatched 4 states from PDP but also survived all antics by the ruling party to cage him. Many people also believe that but for him and Buhari, opposition would have been lond dead in Nigeria. Do you see this man as worthy of our Hall of Fame? Just vote up there.

It will have been better if instead of saying slain corp member, we use victims of post election violence (corp member and non corp member)
