That's how people spoil their phone and power bank batteries in the long run, and later be complaining of bad phone and power bank products. |
| Re: Who Has Used This Solar Device Before? by nursemyke: 10:10am On Nov 28, 2024 |
Don't waste your money on that crap. The solar panel is just 6W while the battery is 500mAH, meaning the charging current is less than 1A. |

Buy it if you need it to power that small lamp and charge your torchlight phone. Don't buy it to charge a smart phone. Is it not sun king? It won't charge your smart phone o. Don't say I didn't tell you I'm talking out of experience. If you still doubt me, call their customer care line and they will tell you the same thing I'm telling you. If you want the one that will charge your smart phone you need to buy the bigger one which is more expensive. If you then want it to charge your power bank then you should buy an even bigger one. Don't fall victim to anyone telling you otherwise |

The product is not designed for charging if though they created a USB port that can do that. It is strongly recommended that you don't make it a powerbank for changing phone, rather you can use it to boost your phone with like 15%. If you keep using it to charge phone like powerbank, it's only a matter of time the battery will barely last 1hr. |

That thing is intended to charge that light it comes with. This is how solar systems work: you have the solar panel, the charge controller, the power storage (battery) and the inverter which converts DC to AC. If you need to charge your phone and power bank, either you purchase a power system which accepts Solar panel as input and gives you a USB port as output. Otherwise, assemble your own solar system as I outlined above. That lantern has a tiny charge controller and battery inside, that's why it'll comfortably admit a solar panel input. If you wish to roast your phone, then you can go ahead and plug it directly to a solar panel. |

Bea1234:OP I got this one for our home since last and it has 6 lamps and a charging port. It charges my phone but I don’t use to plug my power bank there cos it’s 20000mah and I don’t use to charge all the time. Of course it’s paid subscription. You will definitely enjoy this one and for those saying it spoils phone do you know sunking has the one that powers tv and gotv/dstv at the expense of the solar and you’re telling me it spoils phone. If it can power these ones then whats a phone ? FYI this is not the one that powers tv this is just the one I got last year. 👍🏼

| Re: Who Has Used This Solar Device Before? by stagger: 10:30am On Nov 28, 2024 |
Bea1234:No. It has no charging station. The solar lamps are built to work directly with the panel, but not for charging phones and power bank. Better to buy Grafin product which comes with charging points. You then plug the panel into the charging point's input, and plug your devices to the charging point's output points. |
| Re: Who Has Used This Solar Device Before? by iamtoofan: 10:30am On Nov 28, 2024 |
Bea1234:I take it you are novice, that solar lamp you postdoes not measure up to the capacity that can charge a phone with 5000mah When we talk of charging .. output matters and it ranges from 5v : 2.0,2.1, 2.4 and 3.0a (max) these are range of output that can successfully charge an andriod phone or iphone check that lamp output description, it cant be more than 5v : 500ma or 1. (max) you phone will display charging but will take forever. with a 5000mah battery, getting a good power bank like anker or mi 20000 mah covers you for than a day .. |
