Goodevening everyone. Please I need your advise.
I was passing through hard times. I had just lost my job and everything was going upside down.
I needed to rent a shop for 400k so I could startup a tattoo biz considering I was so trained and have all the needed tools to startup
I informed friends and family members but no one was forthcoming with any help. After several months of failed attempt to raise funds, I opted to sell the only land I have for 1.5M so I could finance the business.
While negotiations with multiple buyers for the land was ongoing, I fell ill and was hospitalized for hbp and the doctors needed 450k for the treatment and therapy.
Surprisingly, my brother came to the hospital and offered to make the payment.
I rejected the offer and instead instructed my agent to collect 1M from the willing buyer.
Everyone felt I over-reacted

But are both of you in good terms? Are you scared he will use you for ritual ?. But if I were to be in such situation I will accept the help, but on the other hand I think it's good to protect ones dignity too. But next time accept a part of it be it even 5k out of the 400k it will make the person believe that his gift was appreciated

I think you should just have allowed him. It shows that he still value you to be willing to pay that amount on your health..... Sometimes, events happen to stop us from taking a step. Have you paused and prayed about it?. Maybe that's not the best idea.... Think and pray more and please take care of health, try as much as possible not to let things bother you talkless of overthinking
