The witchcraft the Lagos State government are involve in is mind blowing. How can you impose exorbitant price for drilling the ground for water. Ogun we drill nonsense out of the ground since government has failed to provide water. In fact their waterworks is dead |

No wonder many manufacturing companies are moving to Ogun state... As a realtor, my experience with these companies is the complaint of multiple taxation by LASG. Even Schools are not exempted from these taxation i.e increased Lawma tax, Radio and Television Tax, Local govt Tax, PAYE Tax, Etc... Una wan kill person ni... 🫤 |

Another show of uncaring attitude of present leaders... It makes no sense when several companies in Nigeria are diligently innovating ways to solve the inadequacies of the government... and all the government remembers is to mount levies for these innovative solutions... Testimonies from other countries showed that not just the federal and state governments... even the local government is interested to support every new and existing industry within its domain... because that is the solution to employment and tax generation... but the contrary is what happens here in Nigeria... Things have to change... |

kcprince:Just unimaginable I tell you! Imagine the water bodies all around Lagos, yet most areas have no portable water supply. And when people and companies use their hard earned resources (now severely depleted by multiple levies and taxes, hyperinflation, NGN devaluation, etc), the government (especially LAGS) still come all you in the name of generating IGR. Shouldn’t the focus be on welfare of the people and creating conducive business environment? 🤦🏽♂️ |

Sane governments all over the world provide water. These companies are providing their own water and you still want them to pay for it. What a useless government |

The Lagos state government has a tout,an agbero in it's fold, tokunbo wahab. He's the one behind this sealing. That man has sealed virtually everything in Lagos state just because of money. Talk about abuse of power and authority. This is what Fela called AUTHORITY STEALING. LAGOS STATE SHOULD DO AWAY WITH THAT MAN |

TouchNfollow:Lagos is acting like we do not know the corruption in ALAUSA?!The bribes and extortion and “settlement” and that businesses face. There is no shutdown or closure in Lagos State by any Lagos State Agency that does not involve some sort of bribery and/or corruption. 100 per cent are related to bribery, extortion, blackmail, targeted attacks due to political differences and power tussles. There is this wrong assumption that every business wants to be in Lagos and that Lagos will never loose its investment appeal and pull factor. No one is saying companies should not obey the law. But when the law fundamentally is extorting companies in the name of revenue and fees and licenses and permits, without sensible consideration for the current economic situation and dilapidated public services and e mentioned, it becomes counter productive to start taxing and extorting companies. Additionally, paying for water extracted does nothing significant for the environment, especially for a politically and administratively corrupt and rotten country like Nigeria. I challenge any Environmentalist to a debate on how Lagos charging these companies for water abstraction will help the environment. |

“A situation where industries are burdened with payments in excess of N100 million for generating water for production purpose, in the face of government’s failure to supply same, is unfair. This is sad and no wonder my Chinese employer don't give a hoot about my feelings |

These companies didn't SETTLE them on time. Otherwise, they wouldn't be facing these harassment from them. Most of these Lagos state agencies are money spinning agencies established to squeeze out life from the companies. Money is the underlining factor. And that's why they live Big. Sanwo Olu should intervene and call them to order. The charges are flimsy to Keep them out of business at this austere time. |

Biodun556:The ronuists are here again, they support anything at the cost of their own lives. This one has created an imaginary company that dug borehole that stopped water from running in his house to hold on to his Stockholm syndrome. Supporting APC is a curse that you cannot purge yourself from even when you have the truth staring at you like a mirror, his fellow urchins carefully avoided this thread but him sha wan show him stupidity. |
