Skin conditions that start with itching and resemble mosquito bites before spreading can be caused by various factors, ranging from allergic reactions to infections or more serious skin conditions. Here are some possibilities and potential remedies:

Possible Causes
Allergic Reaction (Urticaria or Hives)

Symptoms: Itchy, raised, red welts that can spread and change shape. Often triggered by food, medications, or environmental allergens.

Solution:
Take an over-the-counter antihistamine like loratadine or cetirizine.

Avoid suspected triggers.

Apply a cold compress to reduce itching.
Insect Bites or Bedbugs

Symptoms: Itchy, red bumps, often in clusters or lines.

Solution:
Clean bedding, clothes, and environment thoroughly.

Use a topical hydrocortisone cream for itching.
Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis)

Symptoms: Dry, itchy, inflamed patches that may spread and worsen with scratching.

Solution:
Moisturize regularly with a thick, fragrance-free cream.
Avoid irritants like soaps or detergents.
Use a mild corticosteroid cream for flare-ups.

Fungal Infection (e.g., Ringworm)

Symptoms: Red, itchy, scaly patches with defined edges, often circular.

Solution:
Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole or terbinafine.
Keep the affected area clean and dry.
Scabies

Symptoms: Intense itching, especially at night, with small bumps or burrows, often between fingers or in warm areas of the body.

Solution:
Visit a doctor for a prescription cream (e.g., permethrin).

Wash clothes and bedding in hot water.
Contact Dermatitis

Symptoms: Red, itchy rash caused by contact with an irritant or allergen.
Solution:
Identify and avoid the irritant.

Use antihistamines or hydrocortisone cream for relief.
Other Infections

Bacterial Infections: Could occur if the area gets scratched and infected. Look for redness, warmth, or pus.

Solution:
Clean the area with antiseptic.
Seek medical attention if infection is suspected.

When to See a Doctor
If the rash spreads rapidly or is accompanied by fever.

If there is severe pain, pus, or signs of infection.

If over-the-counter remedies don’t work after 1-2 weeks.

If you suspect scabies or an allergic reaction that causes swelling.

Home Remedies for Relief
Oatmeal Bath: Add colloidal oatmeal to lukewarm bathwater to soothe itching.
Aloe Vera: Apply fresh aloe vera gel for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Tea Tree Oil: Diluted tea tree oil can help with fungal infections or itching.

Baking Soda Paste: Mix baking soda with water and apply to itchy areas.

That's granuloma annulare. It can be very stubborn to cure. can last few weeks to decades. The cause is yet to be known. You can Google it.
