I just bought a car and was given the original papers with a sale agreement and receipt.
But unfortunalety I have misplaced this documents, though all the papers have expired. I have only the receipt.
Please what should I do to claim my ownership of the car legally.
i need you guys advice.

go to the court registry to do a sworn affidavit for the lost documents,take the affidavit to the police to obtain a police extract.these two are legal document to obtain new vehicle license and other document you might require for the car
