One of the downside to this lopsided 'statism'. Whilst some states are clamouring for more funds, or lack of enough funds, some illiterate security officer in some backwater northern states are spending money like drunken sailor. Can someone tell me how much Zamfara State puts into the coffers to warrant this wanton waste of scarce resources.

It never stops to amaze me the gross inefficiency we have in public institutions in Nigeria. A level 3 security guard is just a gateman, how does he end up with 1.6 million monthly? It is unexplainable. Level 14 in lagos is not collecting 1million per month but a gateman, N1 600 000 naira every month

The police should look deeper. If a gateman takes home N1.6m/mth what is the take home of the accountant? All these our hausa brothers. . . .

^^ my brother, thieving of public money in obodo naija knows no tribe oo. I remember last year, one Mrs Phiana Chidi was arrested by EFCC for diverting N800 million of workers (ghost workers) pension funds every month into her personal account, while serving as a deputy director of the federal Pension Scheme. May God help our country sad
