New MTN Tariff Plans: Which One Should I Choose? by charlsecy4(m): 10:30pm On Jan 11, 2012 |
MTN, to mark her 10th year in Nigeria, recently introduced a total of three new tariff options, namely, Funlink Reloaded, MTN Family and Friends Xpanded and Super Saver. A postpaid version of Super Saver was later added. Now you may be wondering which of the new plans best suits you. That is why I decided to come up with this post. I will try to give you some clues which will guide you adopt a suitable plan. I notice that Nigerians prefer making on-net calls, that is, in this case, they prefer making calls to MTN lines using an MTN line. This behaviour is equally applicable to other networks. Since chances are that you make a relatively high number and volume of local, on-net calls, I will base these guidelines on local calls. How Do I Choose? Funlink Reloaded is best suited to callers that make long- or short-minute calls to a large base of MTN subscribers. If the number of MTN numbers you regularly call is greater than 10, and that you call these lines during the day (before 4:00pm), then MTN Funlink Reloaded is best for you. Family and Friends Xpanded is for users that make long-minute calls to a narrow base of MTN subscribers. If the number of MTN numbers you regularly call is not more than 8, I think you should consider the Family and Friends Xpanded option. Super Saver is for users who make long- or short-minute calls to a large base of MTN numbers. But, unlike Funlink Reloaded, the time of the calls is not particularly important. Super Saver also has a postpaid version. Dial *123# and follow prompts on how to activate service plans. |

I honestly cant remeber the last time i recharged my mtn line, it's just there. I am wary of anything from mtn, they suck. I stick to my glo infino at a flat rate of N15/min to ALL NETWORKS IN NIGERIA! I doubt if u can even call mtn to mtn at that amount, without any conditionallities. Mind you, am not a glo staff, just an informed customer. |

Occupy MTN! Occupy MTN!! Occupy MTN!!!. This should be our next project (OCCUPY) Mtn they are just like Nigerian leaders there are; fraudsters, greedy, disrespectful, wicked and the painful thing is they believe we are bunch of dough (call their customer you will understand what I mean). AS for my case whenever I recharge, they deduct N80-N100 from my account, I have complained and am frustrated talking to their customer care, cos their approach is so dumb and usless. Fellow Nigerians prepare to OCCUPY MTN, by dumbing their sims for a start. Long Live All Nigerians on the Trench and Badluck, to JO,IWELA, ALLISON,SANU,ADAM,MARK(U can b the president of dis country) and co. |

I dunno the cheaper tariff and I don't care. I do know that MTN's reduced tariffs never come with no strings attached. For reasons best known to them, MTN has a tariff culture of giving one part with the right hand and taking three parts back with the left hand. There is no unconditional love from MTN. |

Re: New MTN Tariff Plans: Which One Should I Choose? by Nobody: 1:50pm On Jan 14, 2012 |
studyineu:infinito is more than the bomb! From the very first minute without any minimum balance wahala that airtel even attaches. The other lovely thing is i can even call my special friend with N1.20k/min and even free midnight call without miminum balance problem like mtn N100. Glo is just the best in term of tariff. Forget mtn! silibaba:with the glo promo for receiving calls, i have stopped giving out my mtn number, instead i give out my glo number! Mtn sucks! Glo rocks! |
