On The Origin Of Evil by Nobody:
The concept of "evil" has perplexed human thought for centuries, with philosophers, theologians, and scholars of various disciplines attempting to understand its origin. The question of where evil comes from—whether it is inherent in human nature, a result of societal influences, or a force external to humanity—has given rise to a broad spectrum of theories. In examining the origin of evil, it is essential to explore the views offered by religion, philosophy, and psychology. Together, these perspectives offer a complex and multifaceted understanding of the forces that contribute to the manifestation of evil in the world.

I just saw a thread on front page regarding the above topic.

Can someone intelligent and close to the university system get the real information regarding what actually transpired?

Many people like me support Bishop Oyedepo and his ministry not necessarily because we have enough or even doing it because of God. No. Personally, I support his ministry because of situations like this.

People like me know that True Churches or Ministries need support to operate and stay functional. They have staff salaries to pay and above all, helping the needy and the lowest in the society. Helping the needy is their biggest function.

What I don't understand is why a human being will be paid 102,000 As 14 Years gratuity. I have a few questions I need answers to.

(1) Is this true?

(2) What was the duty of the staff in question?

(3) Did he or she take advanced loans?

(4) Was there an advance charge for things like feeding, accommodation and transportation?

I ask all these because 102,000 As 14 Years gratuity implies that the staff earned 7,200 yearly as gratuity. I honestly doubt this. Bishop Oyedepo I believe will not run a system that supports such an evil.

Without any form of bias because I am not even his church member, I can tell you that Bishop David Oyedepo is a TRUE MAN OF GOD 100%. This situation changes nothing and I will continue to donate to his church.

I want to know if this story is real and if he is aware of it.
All individuals will know the truth. Our religious institutions are really similar to the political class

I guess this explains it better. If there was an understanding or agreement that there was no gratuity after it all, then it becomes clear in a way.

You believed the bolded above, but finding it hard to believe the rest, that sound hypocritical.
In the end He is God of some Some Men

@SeraphicWind, you have to be very careful the stories you read on social media especially on X. Many are lies and fake news.
The only proof that this happened is a cheque. To know the truth, we have to verify first from a staff in the university if payments are still being done by cheques or transfers.

Oyedepo has 2 sides-
Bishop/Pastor- Winners Chapel
Business man/CEO- All his businesses.

One is spiritual, the other is business, and he doesn't mix both together.

When it's time for churchy affairs, you get Oyedepo the pastor and when it's time for business, you get Oyedepo the businessman.
