Dreaded Islamic sect, Boko
haram has said that last Friday
killings in Kano in which over
200 people lost their lives were
carried out by the police and
soldiers as against the popular
belief that the sect carried out
the killings.
Boko Haram, the Islamist Militant
boasted in a Youtube message
that President Goodluck Jonathan
and his Government does not
have what it takes to destroy the
group.
The leadership of the Group
under Imam Abubakr Shekau
said “Jonathan cannot crush us,”
Killing us is not a victory over us.
Many prophets and learned men
of Islam were murdered but their
legacies still live.
Shekau accused the Military of
killing Muslim civilians during the
Kano Bomb blast, saying “We
never touched ordinary people in
the city, instead we gave them
protection,” he said, “they
[soldiers] would rush to the
media and say it was us who did
it.”
He insisted that the Boko Haram
attacked Kano state because of
the arrest and detention of many
of its members.
The group attacked Kano state
recently in which almost 200
civilians, among them a Journalist
with channels Television was
killed.http://ireports-ng.com/2012/01/26/soldiers-police-behind-kano-killings-boko-haram-says-jonathan-cant-defeat-us-2/
