The concept of "evil" has perplexed human thought for centuries, with philosophers, theologians, and scholars of various disciplines attempting to understand its origin. The question of where evil comes from—whether it is inherent in human nature, a result of societal influences, or a force external to humanity—has given rise to a broad spectrum of theories. In examining the origin of evil, it is essential to explore the views offered by religion, philosophy, and psychology. Together, these perspectives offer a complex and multifaceted understanding of the forces that contribute to the manifestation of evil in the world. |

If some politicians from South East are claiming releasing Kanu will cause more insecurity in the region, why should FG release him when na his own people want him to still be locked out. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Armaggedon: 3:52pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
When God wanted to punish pharaoh and the Egyptians, he allowed the devil to pursue them into the red sea. If you have followed IPOB agitation from the beginning, you'd know that each step the FG takes against them makes the group gain grounds and puts the FG into trouble the more |

You have said it all... Nothing to add. It's a sensitive matter and should be handled with wisdom. I agree with you 💯. But I doubt the druggie at the helm of affairs would listen! |

Nigeria is already a country map out for destruction by God. Nigeria government will help to destroy Nigeria completely. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by DomPerignon: 4:00pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
SeraphicWind:This is not how to beg. You must plead his case and appeal for clemency and not bring in your empty threats. If there is any fallout from this judgement, it will be restricted to your SE. So beg well and don't threaten Nigerians . |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Bulldozer90: 4:03pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
Tinubu has the correct attitude to precipitate a disintegration war in Nigeria ie arrogance in the face of extreme diplomatic and internal tension. Adaka Boro was once sentenced to death but he fought a war after that. |

But it's wise for his IPOB terrorists and ESN to kill innocent people abi ? SeraphicWind: |

The guy will be sentence to death and heaven won't fall |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by LibertyRep: 4:05pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
Are you sure it will be restricted to the SE? That was how we thought BH will be restricted to the NE and Sambisa, see what international embarrassment they have caused us DomPerignon: |

There will be unrest like never before, Nigeria is heading for a doomsday.. |

If he's guilty then he will be sentenced. If he's innocent then it will be injustice to sentence him. It is also injustice not to sentence him if he is guilty. The FG must go after Bokoharam sponsors otherwise this all looks like selective justice |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by brain54(m): 4:09pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
Bulldozer90:Exactly... If Tibunu/ Nigerian government was wise he/the government can easily take advantage of this judgement to turn things around! |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by DomPerignon: 4:11pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
LibertyRep:Bring it on. No be today. Yoruba goodwill ended when one IBO guy attempted to blow up University of Ibadan. The IBO guy was caught with a truckload of dynamite . From that moment, the yorubas who protested against northern NCOs harassing IBO civilians ended. The Military Governor of Western Region signed a decree expelling every ibo from Western Nigeria based on this attempted terrorist and also because Ojukwu had expelled all Midwesterners and Westerners from the Eastern region. If you think you can carry your madness anywhere in the SS and SW , then know you are hitting the final nail of intolerance and patience we have endured from your reckless tantrums. |

SeraphicWind:This is the most sensible post I have read this year concerning this matter. Most people who have written have been exhibiting the usual hate for the Igbos without any meaningful supply of solution. I sincerely covet your wisdom and sincerity. Nigeria is a joke of a country, with too many blind followers. Emotion is louder here than musical noise. Common sense demands that MNK case be handled with wisdom. But of course they will not. We already know how crazy they are upstairs. Ego will surely set in. You can hear the prosecutor already displaying that ego. He is even more focused on how MNK have been arrogant, unruly and without remorse in court which I agree. But my question is, if it was Awolomo son that have behaved the way MNK have behaved in court will he also demand same death sentence on him? The answer is NO! There is no wisdom in Nigeria. Just empty heads filled with bread and foam as brains. Just watch them goof and turn back to blame Igbo people. Stupid system. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Buccalcavity2: 4:13pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
IgOga:Correct. FG must go after financiers of boko Harram, banditry ...in the North. They must also not stop at convicting NK,they must go after financiers of IPOB ESN, yes those contributors! I have written about this to Finish govt. too. Cut the head of the snake! Sanity must return to our people. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by quip: 4:16pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
Death penalty is not the way to go, even FG knows that. They are not that du.mb I see PBAT pardoning him after conviction, to appease the South east |

yarimo:Let's talk about your Fulani brothers. It's been a black week so far. What have you gotten to say bout that. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by chronique(m): 4:24pm On Nov 20, 2025*. Modified: 8:54pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
DomPerignon:You can't be sure about that with the level of insecurity the country is grappling with. It's better avoided than imagined. Nigeria is on the edge at the moment. Take a look at the fulani herdsmen and bandits issues that has moved down to the south west. When it was basically in the north, those of us in the south west were relaxed and said "if they like, let them kill themselves in the north. As long as they don't bring it here, we're fine". Today, that's not the case. I can no longer travel by road to my state. Last time i traveled to Ekiti via Akure, I narrowly missed being kidnapped on my way from Ekiti to the airport in Akure. I was reading in the news that people were kidnapped on the very road I took to the airport that same day and the time the incident occurred was less than 30 minutes after I passed there. We never can say never. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by Bulldozer90: 4:27pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
brain54:that's his arrogant personality. Kanu's prolonged detention didn't stop IPOB from highlighting the Christian genocide to the global community leading to Nigeria's international isolation. Here is he worsening the double standard that lead the country in this. Kanu is not a person you pardon for political gain. The judgement will bring Nigeria more troubles. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by HgAkpobomeEr: 4:32pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
Settlement is not a sustainable solution. Kanu should be allowed to go home. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by chronique(m): 4:33pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
DomPerignon:I'm not Ibo/Igbo. I have no mix whatsoever with them. There are so many nairaland members who know me offline and know where I come from. If this is how you reason when serious matters are being discussed, goodluck to you. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by FearlessYoruba: 4:58pm On Nov 20, 2025 |

Wise as you guys are ... for you to be celebrating a Julius Berger sign in 2024 and a water fountain in 2025 .... Other Nigerians don't want that kind of wisdom. The one that makes grown men hide every Monday because of someone sneezing from continents away. |
| Re: On The Origin of Evil by aswani(m): 5:49pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
SeraphicWind:They tried the settlement route earlier, Ohamdike jumped bail by leaving the country and then doubled down on the insults and abuse from Radio Biafra studios. He needs to show some humility and behave well in the gulag so the Presidential pardon can be swift |
