Driving after a rainfall could be a bit tricky. This is because the water prevents the normal friction between tyre and road surface, making the road quite slippery. As a result you need to drive slightly differently than you would on drive on a dry road surface.

Some tips to help you drive more safely after the rains:
,  • Leave some space between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.
• Slow down earlier when approaching speed bumps, traffic lights, junctions, etc, so you don't have to brake so hard as you approach.
• Do not turn bends as fast as you normally would, in dry surface. This applies particularly to our ubiquitous okadas), as a greasy road surface could cause the tyres to skid.
• Horn while overtaking.
You can’t really control the next driver, but you can control your driving.
