[size=14pt]If true, then all the Governors under the ANPP Banner seem to be the prime supporters of Boko Haram. Christians in Yobe State are systematically cleansed with the Governor not lifting a helping hand to protect them. Men with guns go round churches and quietly tell pastors to get out off town or face the bullet, if that is not religious cleansing then somebody should tell me what is?

Same thing is happening in Borno State another ANPP State and home of BH, the ANPP surely has some serious questions [/size] to answer.

You should understand the BH initially started off as a private army for the ANPP controlled North East Zone. It was used to keep the PDP at bay. Unfortunately it went outta control.

I have no doubt in my mind that some the ANPP governors actually sponsored BH, did they foresee that BH will metamorphosed into the monster it is today?

Senior Special Assistant, Media and Public Relations to former Governor of Kano State, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau (Sardaunan Kano), Alhaji Sule Yau Sule has said, “No time did the Shekarau administration in Kano State make any monthly donation to the Boko Haram group or any other organisation.

“It is also a vain effort aimed at undermining one of the Shekarau’s major achievements as Governor of Kano State for sustainable peace and security of lives and properties. It is on record that Kano, under Shekarau, enjoyed enduring peace and security that was never witnessed at any other time in its 45 years of existence as a state”.

The former governor’s spokesman, in a statement made available to reporters in Kano on Sunday, was reacting to media reports linking Shekarau with an alleged monthly N10 million donation to it to Boko Harama, ostensibly to avoid attack, as published by an online publication and some national dailies (Not THISDAY).

Sule Yau said: “Indeed, the peace and security of lives and properties witnessed during Shekarau’s administration was simply a product of good governance and exemplary leadership”.

KANO— Former Governor of Kano State, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau has blamed his successor, Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over the poor security situation in Kano, saying that he (Kwankwaso) dismantled enduring policies introduced by him to guarantee genuine peace in the state.

Shekarau spoke as the Jama’atu Ahlis Sunnati Lidda’awati Wal Jihad, also known as Boko Haram, weekend, threatened to bomb Sokoto, the seat of the caliphate following alleged arrest and detention of many of its members by security agents in the state.

The threat came on a day 11 suspected members of the group were killed by soldiers attached to the Joint Task Force, JTF, at a checkpoint in Maiduguri, Borno State capital and a week, after its men attacked the city of Kano, killing over 200 persons in a wave of bombings.

However, Boko Haram faulted the call for dialogue by President Goodluck Jonathan, saying that, “there is gross inconsistency in all his proclamations’’ so far on the matter.

Shekarau who was the All Nigerian Peoples Party, ANPP, presidential candidate in the 2011 general elections said in a statement signed by his Senior Special Adviser, Media, and Public Relations, Alhaji Sule Yau Sule, yesterday, that Kwankwaso discarded his policies and began an administration of ‘’brigandage and policy reversal and denial of right to self expression”.

The statement said: ‘’Indeed, the peace and security of lives and properties witnessed during Shekarau’s administration was simply a product of good governance and exemplary leadership.

‘’The structures include the Hisbah Board to among other things, assist the law enforcement agencies in intelligence gathering; the Anti Corruption and Public Complaint Commission to fight corruption and also to allow citizens report misdemeanour among public office holders and civil servants; the Societal Re-orientation Directorate (Adaidaita Sahu) for citizens enlightenment, consultation and advocacy; the Office of the Special Adviser on Education to deal with issues of non formal Almajirai education and their welfare; the Youth Development Directorate to guide and train youths on self-reliant skills and trades; the Zakkat & Hubusi Commission to collect and disburse dues to orphans, widows and other less privileged in the State; and the Shura Council comprising 50 wise men representing all segments of the society and interest groups which advised government on the formation and successful operation of structures which in the end gave Kano State a new look and set the citizens on the path to self revival and self actualization – all, until May 29, 2011.

‘’It is sad to note that all these structures are either completely dismantled by the current administration in Kano, or their operations are dismal due to lack of government support.

‘’Peace and security of lives and property are not about campaign of calumny against innocent persons, brigandage, wanton policy reversal, and denial of citizens’ right to self expression.

‘’Thus, peace and security are not realized through unjustified revocation of lawfully obtained property titles, wilful violation of extant State laws, and selective reward or punishment of employees and other citizens based only on political considerations.’’

Another bomb blast in Kano

THERE was yet another bomb attack, yesterday, on the Naibawa Police Station on Zaria Road, Kano State, partially damaging the structure.
gunmen believed to be members of the Boko Haram Islamic sect, attacked the station by 6.45pm during the evening rush hours, triggering pandemonium in the area.
The attack coincided with the Muslim evening prayers, forcing the faithful to stay away from the mosque.
Details of the attack WERE sketchy although Vanguard gathered there was a gun duel between the gunmen and security operatives.
The Commissioner of police, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris confirmed the attack saying, “we are aware of the attack but we can not give you details now”

This story is not yet believable because such a big story should have been carried by the big media houses, as opposed to these fly-by-night sources.

political problems. all the pdp members arrested so far were released without delays and we expect jonathan and co to release this man in this same manner. pdp is playing politics with these bombings.
when chief raymond dokpesi was supporting babangida, he was arrested by jonathan in line with bombing but as soon as he became a member of jonathan team, he was released and annointed to throw bomb without fear or favour.
pdp might need this man by all means so i foresee a situation where he will be asked to join pdp of face terrorism charges.

Now I am not surprised that Kano was attacked so devastatingly since he is the former governor and is an alleged boko haram sponsor.

Former Kano State Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Shekarau, is to be arraigned on February 9 at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) over alleged false asset declaration.
To face trial with him are former Comptroller of Immigration, Hassan S. Kangiwa; Mr. Olusola Sunday Aina of Border Communities and Development Agency and Hussaini Kangiwa, former Comptroller of Customs.
The hearing date was fixed by the CCT Chairman, Justice Danladi Yakubu Umar.
Former Managing Director of Akwa Ibom Water Company Limited, Bassey Ating; former Accountant General of Kogi State, Chief Ubolo Itodo Okpanachi, and former Chairman of Fakai Local Government in Kebbi State, Muhammad S. Fawa Mahuta are also to face trial on February 8.
The cases earlier billed for hearing in January, were stalled due to the nationwide strike over petrol subsidy removal.
According to the charge sheet signed on behalf of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Muhammad Adoke (SAN) by prosecutor Z. S. Abba, Shekarau on June 13, last year, failed to declare some of his properties in form CCB-1 before the High Court of Justice, Kano State.
The assets, according to the charge include: “A house at Kano Low-Cost Housing Estate, which you bought when you were a permanent secretary with then Kano State government”, his Abuja campaign office and a shopping complex at Area 11, Abuja.
Kangiwa allegedly refused to include about 12 landed properties in his form CCB-1.
They include two farms in Argungu and Birnin-Kebbi, Zango Kangiwa Mango and Fish farm on Sokoto road, another Zango Mango Farm in Argungu, a house in Government Reserve Area in Birnin-Kebbi, Zango Kangiwa Petroleum (1&2) on Sokoto road, Zango Kangiwa Transport Terminal Birnin-Kebbi.
Others are Zango Kangiwa Petroleum in Birnin-Kebbi, a mansion near Arewa Local Government Guuset House, and Zango Kangiwa buildings among others.
The alleged offences are contrary to Section 15 (2) of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and punishable under Section 23 of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act, CAP C15, LFN, 2004 as incorporated under paragraph 18, part 1, 5th Schedule of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN).

It is confirmed! Wait, sebi the guy they show us his credential to vie for presidential seat during the elections. He said that the peace experienced in Kano for 8years was because of his ingenuity. Now we know that the peace was both with human blood as he used the fund meant for development of Kano to fund terrorist organization. This BH guy shoved Buhari out of ANPP so he could contest the presidency. Such a shallow mind. Just wondering how Prof. Pat Utomi would step down for this cow of a guy. I dey vex!

Ibrahim Shekarau personally kick-started mayhem in Kano in May 2004 which led to the massacre of scores of non-muslims. He claimed he was leading a peaceful protest against the killing of muslims in some parts of the country, but his misadventure quickly degenerated into an uncontrollable riot. Shekarau has always been a fanatic. Ten to one he is neck deep in this BH mess.

According to the link it stated in the first statement that: His arrest may not be unconnected with the alleged sponsorship of Boko Haram during his tenure as the Kano State Governor.

Shekaru, I know for sure is a fundamentalist. He executed a popular christian evangelist back in the 80's during the maittasine riots when he (shekaru was a student union leader at the university. FACT!
