A fast growing real estate company located in Ajah urgently needs to fill the position of Accountant.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

· Filing and maintaining all invoice records.

· Handle the processing and payments of all invoices

· Carry out analysis of accounting transactions.

· In charge of accounts payable services including reviewing and auditing vendor invoices, preparing cheque requests, monitoring financial activities, aligning monthly spending with budgets, and maintaining vendor files.

· Responsible for preparing information requested by year end auditors and be able to explain journal entries made.

· In charge of the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial reports and accounting files for budgeting and accounting purposes.

· Performing bank reconciliations, preparing payroll journal entries, and preparing monthly financial statements.

· Any other duties assigned.





EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

· A good degree in Accounting from a reputable higher institution .

· Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position with at least 1 year in an audit company

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

· Sound knowledge of generally acceptable accounting principles (GAAP)

· Knowledge of accounts report preparation

· Sound knowledge of book keeping practices

· Knowledge of an accounting software (sage, peachtree or tally) is an advantage

· Sound computer skills
