NO!

Death is not the solution. Jail them. Death sentence should only be considered for those who kill or attempted to kill

Before you can achieve this law in nigeria, you will have to kill so many people, mainly all past and present corrupt leaders.

If you go absolutely which police man will affect the arrest and which judge will try the case as they will in all likelyhood be in their graves. If you attempt to categorise then you will be accused of selective justice, go the Buhari way and the whole thing breaks down. The hunter then becomes the bush meat. Corruption fights back.

Brutality is worse than corruption. We need fair, just, humane laws that are effectively enforced.

Re: Bill On Death Penalty For Corruption AT ALL LEVEL by mastro: 6:36am On Feb 07, 2012
Yes, label it treason and set a reasonably large figure where it is applicable, say N200m or so, this way it won't get used against poor people just trying to make a living.

thehomer:

No I will not. What will happen is that someone who steals e.g 1 million naira is then inclined to steal 200 million naira since they all have the same consequences and of course following this, if someone who steals such a large amount of money manages to escape to a country which doesn't allow the death penalty, it will be next to impossible to repatriate them for punishment.

It would be better for Nigeria to enforce the laws that are already in the books as they are.

Seconded.
