Peter Obi Is Playing Modern Day Oppositional Politics by Freshtruth(op): 4:26pm On May 18
For the first time in 2023 we Saw a prominent polictian who lost an election refuse to go out of the snece, he didn't travel to England to wait till after 4 years he stay back put this government in power on their toes, critizes any singular mistakes of the government.
He went to idp camps in the northerner regions of the country make reasonable donations, went to both South East, south south, and south west nursing schools made reasonable donations.
He has also created controversies this past years to get people talking by sharing rice in a public party events he intentionally join the collation as a hide out why he shop for a safe garded political party
He also created person social Media account on TikTok, IG and fb he has started is campaign and to cap it all he has anglin with one of the top men in the north .

Atiku is not a scaring factor to the north it is obi . With pdp governors backing Atiku in 2023 scored 6.5m votes let watch how many votes Atiku will have this time around without a single governor working for him.

Obi is the main opposition now cause obi has cross over 6m votes without a single governor win 12good states.

If Good luck is not running Obi will win again with kwankwaso. But Ine. Hold the microphone to announce the winner

Re: Peter Obi Is Playing Modern Day Oppositional Politics by IyaTola: 7:35pm On May 18
I understand why many Obi supporters feel energized by what happened in 2023. He stayed politically active after the election instead of disappearing, and that helped him remain relevant in national conversations. Visiting IDP camps, engaging with students, donations, and building a strong social media presence are all smart political moves that keep his supporters connected to him.

But politics in Nigeria is still deeper than online popularity or public sympathy. Elections are won through structure, alliances, grassroots networks, polling agents, state influence, and the ability to protect votes across the country. That is where established parties like APC and PDP still have advantages.

Atiku may not excite young voters the way Obi does, but dismissing him completely could be a mistake. He still has political structures, loyal northern support, and relationships built over decades. Nigerian elections are usually decided by coalitions, not emotions alone.

Also, Obi getting over 6 million votes without governors was impressive, but 2027 will be different. Other parties will adjust their strategies after learning from 2023. Some of the protest votes and emotional momentum from that election may not be as strong next time.

As for INEC, many Nigerians still have concerns about trust and transparency, but ultimately any opposition candidate must not only win votes — they must win convincingly enough that the result becomes difficult to manipulate or dispute.

Right now, Obi is clearly one of the strongest opposition figures in Nigeria, but saying he will automatically win may be too early. Nigerian politics changes very fast, and alliances before 2027 will matter more than social media narratives.

We're saying these because elections are not credible in this country.

Because if it truly reflects the choice of the people. There's no reason why this gov't should be relected.. they've not done well.

Is this how the hypocrite is putting his fellow politicians on their toes huh

Who is fooled by his gimmick?
Who is allowing himself to be fooled by his gimmick?

NLCreator:
Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has defended the purchase of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) for members of the national assembly.

There have been reports that the leadership of the 10th national assembly has bought SUVs for all lawmakers.

Each SUV is said to be valued at N160 million.

The LP had asked members of the party in the national assembly to kick against “wastage”.

While responding to questions during a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the former governor of Anambra said the SUVs are not personal cars of the lawmakers, noting that they are for official use.

“Let me start with the issue of Labour Party members in the house. I have actually discussed this issue with them,” Obi said.

“Surprisingly, I can tell you I heard that these vehicles are official cars. They have to use it. It is meant for office.

“So it is not as if it is their vehicle. They said it is official cars and you are meant to use it while you are in the senate.”

Obi also hinted at contesting for the country’s number one position in 2027, adding that Nigeria deserves dedicated and visionary leaders who will lead the country towards a brighter future.

“’I cannot take anything back about Obi. I said Obi said he wants to move Nigeria back from consumption to production and I said that is not true. He cannot do it because his own business survives on consumption. Is that a lie? He has been an importer and I said he deals with cash and carry economics; container economics, imports”.

“All the goods that can be produced in Nigeria, Obi imports them in his supermarkets. That is consumption economics. That kind of person cannot tell you that he is moving you from consumption to production. He will then be committing self-economic suicide and Obi will not do that to himself”.

“So, Obi is deceiving everybody and I can’t take that back because that is true.

The outcome is that all the 100% rigged SE votes were indirectly for Tinubu, thereby making it easy for him to have his turn at continuing APC extreme poverty and insecurity shege.

What is there to be proud of in such a situation?

jameshankss:
Arguing that Obi’s presidential bid would only work in favour of Tinubu, Soludo said, “Indeed, if I were Asiwaju Tinubu, I would even give Peter Obi money as someone heading one of the departments of his campaign, because Obi is making Tinubu’s pathway to victory much easier by indirectly pulling down PDP.”

Obi, according to Soludo, would only deplete the votes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and pave the path for an APC victory.

He stated, “The current fleeting frenzy, if not checked, will cost Ndigbo dearly for years. The South-east has the lowest number of votes of any region, but it is also the only region where the presidential race might be a four-way race (it is a two-way race in the other five regions) thereby, ensuring that our votes won’t count in the making of the next president of Nigeria.
