*Suspect contacted Abul Qaqa before arrest

Fresh facts yesterday revealed that butfor his sharp reflexes, one of the operatives of the Department ofState Services, DSS, who arrested escapee Kabiru Abubakar DIKKO (a.k.a Kabiru SOKOTO), would have been axed to death by the man beingdescribed as Kabiru’s ‘brother’ .

Although the filial connection is yetto be established, the so-called ‘brother’ to Kabiru wielded an axe upon sighting the DSS operatives and attempted to chop off thehead of one of them.

Also, it was established that just before the arrest of Abu Qaqa, the alleged spokesman of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, Kabiru had been communicating with him.

A source privy to the investigation and rearrest of Kabiru disclosed to Sunday Vanguard that “once Kabiru got wind of Qaqa’s arrest, he stopped all forms of communication for fear of being traced.”
These were some of the many details Sunday Vanguard has been able to gather.

It was also learnt that three other persons, including Kabiru’s ‘brother,’ were arrested along with the escapee and transported to Abuja on Friday.

Security operatives moved the suspects to the federal capital by road for strategic reasons.
