ππ₯ If you have 200 layers, how many crates of eggs should you be getting every day? Is it 4 crates? 5? 6? Or even more? Let's calculate it! The answer is actually not a fixed number. It depends on your flock's laying rate. For example: π At 70% laying rate: 200 birds Γ 70% = 140 eggs That's about 4Β½ crates. π At 80%: 200 Γ 80% = 160 eggs That's about 5β crates. π At 90%: 200 Γ 90% = 180 eggs That's exactly 6 crates. And good commercial layer strains can reach production rates in the 90%+ range around peak production when conditions are right. But here's the question I want to ask every poultry farmer: Do you know YOUR flock's laying percentage today? π€ Because if you have 200 birds and you're collecting 4 crates today, you shouldn't just say, "That's what they gave me." You should be asking: Why 4 crates? Are the birds too young? Is production dropping? Is there a health issue? Is feed intake affecting performance? Or are some eggs simply not being accounted for? That's why keeping proper daily records is so important. Don't just count crates. Know your numbers. ππ So tell me in the comments: πhttps://poultry.trueops.app https:// poultry. trueops. app |
