Wow. That's very Instructive and insightful. And it's inspiring at the same time. I wish all of those young men and women seeking white collar jobs can fold their sleeves in embrace agriculture:
1. Food sufficiency for them and Nigeria
2. Prices of food items will come down.
3. Reduce the pressure on Niara as imports of food items will reduce.
4. Reduce the pressure on the Naira to keep loosing value
5. Battle inflation
6. Reduce the competiveness of the employment market.
7. Reduce all the risk factors associated with unsafe imported food items
8. Reduce the circulation of GMO seeds
9. Reduce prayers and fasting
10. Reduce crime.

All these are tied to enabling business environment. Insecurity alone has displayed many who would have built such businesses.

Market is the most important aspect in farming because that's where a farmer's profit is tied to. Imagine producing thousands of juveniles and not enough buyers, how many you want to stock yourself

This is tall o, I want to believe them.

Whilst there is opportunity in agriculture in Nigeria, as a fish farmer of over 13 years now,

I am quick to note that most successful agribusiness here have other sources of income that they use to really offshoot the large capital needed to make the agribusiness work.

We need money to make money

Please learn to read. The poster stated "no farm in Nigeria...". You referenced Olam Agric which is in many countries including Ghana, Ivory Coast, China etc. The AI response even asked at the end if you want the figures for the Nigerian division, which shows your answer isn't the accurate response.

You said no farm in Nigeria makes 1 billion and I've shown you one that makes it in dollars.
Why not go and research about Olam and find out what they do rather than attributing their success to Politicians

Meanwhile find attached another one. Okomu Oil Plc makes 16.5 billion monthly. Incase you will still ask me again what they do. The are into palm oil plantation and processing and are quoted on the Stock exchange in Edo State

I can still give you verifiable farms that make billions monthly. Don't be blown away by figures. What is 1 billion in dollars? Inflation in the last years has wiped out the naira value

No be everything be Politician. A lot of companies are making good money even in this volatile economy

You keep saying billions, billions…Are you talking about billions in naira or dollars? Your earlier post, I reacted to talked about earning in billions of dollars. Now you’re talking about billions of naira. You are using a conglomerate and a publicly traded company to compare with privately owned farms? I am not disputing the fact that there are potentials in agricultural ventures in Africa, but we should be conservative in our estimations and stop parading phantom bogus earnings…
Re: He Built A Profitable Pepper Farm In Africa | Fish Farmer (video) by IkePeters(m): 10:08pm On Sep 09
Am not the one saying billions billions. It's research saying it. Verifiable data.
You said no farm makes 1 billion monthly. You didn't specify private or publicly traded company farm. Maybe next time you should have said "No private farm makes 1 billion monthly"
My response to you is based on your "No Farm" making billions

I guess you are not a Nigerian. Because in our local parlance, in Nigeria, when we say farms, we know exactly what we are talking about.
