If you booked the flight online then you have to go with any ID Card that will be used to identify you but if you are booking the same day you are travelling, no document will be required. |

I'm more than sure nothing is required when buying your ticket from the airport apart from your cash and name. @odiaero,bulk is correct,you can even go without ID even if you booked online sef. 1 Like |

^Lol. The question is "travelling" not buying ticket. @OP,you cant board any flight without a valid id,Arik is extra strict on this.Valid id's include student,work and national ids,drivers license,international passport. |

It's pretty scary that you can board a flight without your ID. Do they at least check it somehow before you get on a plane. In this day and age everybody should be verified before they fly |

freecocoa:Hmmn which airline and year. Just curious. I've been around the block and the only times i know people board without id cards are when they buy pre-issued tickets on another person's name. . .yet its not free,they "sort" during boarding or the airport touts that sell the tickets do the sorting for them. |

You cannot travel within Nigeria by air if you do not have a valid means of identification (study ,work or other forms of ID) . If you attempt it (we know a lot of things are possible in naija), it is illegal and you can be prosecuted if caught and the touts will abandon you at this stage. |

@topic, just like someone said, if you are to make a ticket reservation then you must have a way to identify yourself for the ticket to be given to you at the airport but when you are to pay at the check in counter at the airport, you give them the required fare, they issue you with the ticket and you head to your boarding gate as would be announced by the announcer.
