as things stand in SE today, going by popularity during ojukwu's burial, there are only two really popular politicians in SE. the first is chris ngige of anambra state, the second is rochas okorocha of imo state.
ngige is still in ACN and may remain there till 2014 to contest anambra guber elections again. he will likely win.
so he is ACN's ace in the east

in igboland, popular candidate are followed around by huge crowd singing and hailing them along
a crowd was following ngige at awka during ojukwu's funeral them chanting we shall follow ngige anywhere he is going
obi did not get anything like that
same happened to rochas at aba and nnewi
