Gabon’s Aubameyang Impresses Ancelotti AS Muamba Now In Stable Condition by Werehkpe: 11:56pm On Mar 17, 2012
Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti says he has been impressed with Saint-Etienne winger Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s recent form.

The Gabon international was named Ligue 1′s Player of the Month for February on the back of a goalscoring spree, and he is now underlining just why AC Milan elected to sign him as a teenager.

Ancelotti coached Aubameyang for a season before leaving Milan to take charge of Chelsea in 2009 but the forward made a big impression on the Italian.

“At the time, he was a young player at Milan and I remember he showed good quality,” the PSG boss told RMC. “Right now, he is now proving that he’s very talented.”

Aubameyang, 22, joined Saint-Etienne permanently at the end of last season after failing to make a single Serie A appearance for Milan.

Fabrice Muamba is in a stable condition after collapsing on the pitch during Bolton’s FA Cup tie at Tottenham, a hospital statement has confirmed.

The midfielder fell to the ground unchallenged in the 41st minute of the first half at White Hart Lane before paramedics promptly rushed onto the pitch to provide mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and use a defibrillator in attempts to revive him.

As the 23-year-old was stretchered off down the tunnel, referee Howard Webb called both teams off the pitch. The game was later abandoned.

Players surrounding Muamba looked distraught, while Bolton chairman Phil Gartside rushed from the stands to the sidelines.

A Bolton spokesman at the ground confirmed: “Fabrice Muamba has been taken to hospital following his collapse but we will not be releasing any further information at this stage.”
