This happened to a doctor friend of mine,in my opinion i think he was too harsh,please what are you thoughts?

Parents comes into consulting room with their 2yr old girl.
(pleasantries exchanged)

Me: Ooookay....who is sick?
Father: she is not sick.
Me: (acting surprised) wow! i only see sick people.
Father: she is not sick. "Sick" is a strong word.
Me: well, if she is not sick then she doesn't need to see me. i only deal with sick people.
Mother: we have faith...
Me: (cuts in) This is a hospital, not a church. "sick" is a medical term and we use it here.
Mother: anyway, i have faith. she is not sick.
Me: then maybe you should have stayed at home. If you have faith, back it with action.
Mother: not for my child o! i have to come.
Me: (smiles) okay. why are you here?
