Muslim lawyers
have called on
Lagos State
Governor
Babatunde Fashola
to rescind his
decision to ban the use of
hijab in public schools in the
state. The call was contained
in a communiqué issued at the
end of the National Executive
Committee (NEC) meeting of
the Muslim Lawyers’
Association of Nigeria
(MULAN) held in Nasarawa
State a copy of which was
made available to Daily Trust
in Kaduna.
The communiqué signed by
MULAN President, Tajudeen
Olaseni Oladoja, stated that
Section 38 of the amended
Constitution of Nigeria 2011
allows every citizen to
manifest his or her religion.
The group appeals to the
government to tackle insecuriy and. unemployment.
