My area here in abeokuta, we now go 2 or 3 days a stretch without power supply while sometimes we enjoy from 5 mins - 6 hrs of light when luck shines on us. How I wish inverters n solar systems are affordable by all 'grassroot' nigerians. Funny enough, no one knows the sudden cause of the epileptic power supply. Hmm...

Over here in Jalingo (Taraba state) it's abit better, though the heat is killing us here. Usually, we have light for 22-23hrs everyday. But ever since the repairs at Kianji Dam, power supply dropped to about 12hrs.

Overall, I suspect the water level at the Dams are very low due to the current dry season. As a result, these dams up north are not pumping in much power into the national grid, hence the current load shedding we now experience.
Re: Has Power Been Worse Than Normal Lately? by lizfab(f): 12:28pm On Mar 30, 2012
We have not had light for over two weeks at Afromedia, Okokomaiko. The heat is killing.
