Petroleum Resources Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, has appealed to Nigerians to back Finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo- Iweala’s bid to become the president of the World Bank. Alison-Madueke made the appeal in a message on her Twitter account, @diezanimadueke, wrote, “Let’s all show our support & pray for God’s favour for my sister Ngozi’s World Bank top job. It would be a plus for all Nigerians. DAM” Okonjo-Iweala is one of three candidates jostling to replace World Bank President Robert Zoellick after he steps down in June. The others are Jim Yong Kim of the United States and former Colombian Finance Minister Jose Antonio Ocampo.
