The killing of Trayvon Martin, 17, by a neighbourhood watch captain (yet to be arrested) two months ago in Florida sparked off a protest on Monday 9 April in downtown Los Angeles. The protesters who were majorly youths carried placards with the faces of those who they believed have been betrayed by justice. The faces of Trayvon Martin, Kendric McDade, Mitrice Richardson, and Kenneth Chamberlain were raised by the angry protesters demanding for justice.
AS if in a swift reaction, George Zimmerman has now floated a website Therealgeorgezimmerman.com where he wrote a letter soliciting for help and support from regarding the killing of the teenager which he described as an “incident.”

On Sunday February 26th, I was involved in a life altering event which led me to become the subject of intense media coverage. As a result of the incident and subsequent media coverage, I have been forced to leave my home, my school, my employer, my family and ultimately, my entire life.
