NO! A grade of between 3.00 - 4.00 is sufficient, in as much you know SOMEONE that will help you to secure admission. There is nothing like merit when it comes to Direct Entry.

Yes. Take along with you all your credentials. It's not late at all. Admission process is still on.

hi am anthony,i graduated in 2010 with second class upper in parasitology and i hv been writing direct entry exams since then,after the school will say that they admitted many people from jamb.and seriously i really want to study medicine and surgery.i hv written in 2 schools already remaining 2 other schools.i hv tried south east nd south south this year.pls i will like to know abt OAU direct entry.I pray i get this dis year.

Sorry, I don't know anybody. I'll advise you to start informing people around you, you never can tell who knows 'who is who' on campus that may help you. Don't keep mute in this situation. Don't sit down at home waiting for that SOMEONE, you can come down to campus to see things yourself. I know of a friend who gained admission through DE by simply begging one of the staff of the faculty of administration. You too can tread the same path. Good luck.

i totally support @horpeyemmy. Dont keep mute or silent. The first time I opened my mouth, i was surprised the person I told linked me up. If I had not open up u can imagine what will happen. @ fatimar, there is no concrete info as of now except dat d processing is at d faculty level, after which d compiled/sorted list will be forwarded to d various depts for final selection nd consequently d final list. Am hoping on a source to get d real state of things between tody nd monday, by then i should be able to drop something on this thread. But am suspecting a change in tune as per admission dis year because nobody is saying anything, but d fact remains dat by october ending D.E students should know their faith (am sure we al will smile). concerning maybe D.E nd Jamb list will be released simulteanousy, i dont think so but d interval between d two will be weeks. We've waited months for dis resumption, nd here it is, so lets all be calm because its a very Long journey. Happy waiting.........

fatimar,jambite list comes 1st, b4 D.E list nd as it is nw Jambite merit list is precipitatin 4 depts...As at 6th of sept.our transcripts has bin moved frm Registrar office to transcript section within d old senate building.Each faculty was seperated nd different staffs workin on recordin our vital infos lyk,name, name of institutn,course applied for,grade ,frm d forms we submittd there into a big book(if u want 2 confirm,jst follow d way dt go down to d right frm d admissn office we filld d form.it is demacated wit glass doors.walk down to d 2nd door nd kip checkin d left wing)bt i doubt if one wil b allowd to com in xcept on directn frm a reliable source.

I applied to Faculty of Science.d reason i said it is grace,i knw pple dt applied to oau last yr 4 D.E nd did necessary finz bt was nt admitted.In Faculty of Admin,a frnd was tld categorically afta resumptn dt they reckon wit ICAN not OND Acct.Tank God 4 His grace,his name came out wit V.C list afta follow up.Their dcisn is rubbish in d sight of Almighty God.Lets pray God use d ryt people 4 us.He wil suprise us(AMEN)

Like you know, I applied to Faculty of Science too. You are right about it being by His Grace, there is a lot of competition for limited spaces and it is this Grace that will put us through.

I also understand why OAU will want to consider Advanced Level (e.g. ICAN, IJMB) before ND and I guess everyone here does too. Most OAU programmes run for 4years. It suits them to accept ND to 200L of a 5yr programme than to accept ND into Part 2 of a 4year programme. The programme I applied for, Applied Geophysics, requires A'Level or HND (Not ND) for Direct Entry.

But, like you said, we know how things work in Nigeria, nothing is impossible! Talk to God, then someone, and take steps, then you can sit back and wait your name appear.

@ Olami nd ursas, u guys are very correct. According to a source, some list are being compiled after sorting @ d faculty level, d first list for computer engineering has been sent to d dept (although will confirm tomoro). We all pray for God's favour. Its just a shame dat dis country has no pity for dose of us 'Who are able nd willing to learn'.

As far as d transcript gets to Ife, it will be sent to where ur sch addressed it, nd it will get to d Registrar or admission office. (All things being equal, but am sure all will be well)
