WHEN YOU EXAMINE nations that broke up their inhospitable polity due to ethnic or religious factors,then you know NIGERIA DOES NOT FALL INTO THAT reality.UNLIKE the former USSR,Czechoslovakia,Korea et al. Nigeria is too complex to be broken up.despite the 2015 doomsday 'prophecy',of that US agency,indirectly the US government's,it has been business as usual:bombings,regrettable loss of innocent lives.and then the refrain:''we will fish out the killers! hmmm... hot air.ethnic and religiuos bloodletting did not start under the Jonathan adminisrtation and it would not end with it.WHY?simple answer:the average nigerian is too SCARED TO SACRIFICE HIS/HER LIFE for future progreess.
the government of the USSR didn't want a breakup,because being elites they were benefitting enormously from the lopsided system as the DANGOTES,OTEDOLAS ETC ARE BENEFITTING FROM SUCH LOPSIDED SYSTEM THAT REWARDS CORRUPTIONin naija.but in politics and businees.every big time business mogul in naija is indirectly a politician.the people of the USSR INSISTED ON IT.any break up in Naija 2day is equally war and no nigerian is ready to sacrifice.geography and ethnic wise ,nigeria is the most complex nation in the world.we are so interwoven.the CHRISTIANS IN KADUNA and MIDDLE BELT,would they want a MUSLIM DOMINATED Republic of northern nigeria?even,in the NIGER DELTA there are divisions.sharp divisions.the only HOMOGENOUS REGION is the SOUTH EAST.witout a coastline SECCESION IS HAMPERED.AND igbos have 80%of investments outside igboland.thus.the reluctncy to heed MASSOB CRY:''TO YOUTR TENTS O ISRAEL!''.Naija is 2 complex,2 2 COMPLEX!2015 WOULD come and go and boko haram madness would cease dramatically if GOVT. acts tough or a Northerner becomes president in 2015.you know war would be bad for the benefitting ELITES(both muslim and christian).so power brokers would not want ''sand sand in their garri''.2015 would be like every ''naija year''.and we've gotten use to it?haven't we?

Guy you've said it all, its not going to be easy for a contry as complex as naija to break. Naija can only break into 6 region.
