Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) Education provides the Know-How Ability while Science, Engineering and Technology Training provides the Do-How Capability.

As it stands today in Nigeria, SET training is obtained by students of engineering only during their SIWES outings. Just wondering if that exposure is enough to round out an engineering graduates formal eduation. Should the programme be completely abolished for a one-year post graduation Internship programme or should both stay to complement one another?

Let's help the curricula planners decide with our comments here http://ning.it/JeafXt or here. They are at a crossroad. Thanks.

That the poster is or is not a TrafFiKer is not the issue. What's posted is salient. Let's discuss it and leave out the messenger

What you have raised is quite an important one. I think majority of our engineering graduates do not make the best of SIWES. SIWES should go to usher in the one-year internship programme.
