I would like to use Skype to make international calls through the internet. Is this possible if I subscribe to the BlackBerry service on MTN OR GLO?

My second question is do I have to have a blackberry phone to use blackberry service? Specifically, is this possible on an Android smart phone? I will appreciate it if anyone can direct me on how to go about doing this if it is possible.
