When one browses the internet these days, especially the Facebook,
one will not be surprised at the high rate of failure of our
secondary school students in English at both NECO and WAEC exams.
The fad these days is to write any word as it sounds.
If this is not checked, very soon our children will not be able
to write or spell any English word correctly.Who is talking about letter
writing.GSM and SMS has taken over. Now some of our graduates cannot
put pen to paper and write a good job application letter.
Our education authorities must do something now before it is too late.
Can someone come up with a new English Dictionary based on the new fad?
"whot du u say, gud 9th" -What do you say, good night.God bless Nigeria.
