Bro, Africans really fought back. If the invaders (British, French, Arabs, Portugues) were to have come with similar arms e.g. bows & arrows, am quite sure they wouldn't have succeeded in stepping their foot on our shores. Imagine going into battle with knife, clubs, spears and arrows (effective mostly over a short distance) against someone with guns and cannons.
