Notice that most of the companies mentioned are either oil companies (which are from government patronage), government-subsidized companies or companies that were favoured by discriminatory government policy. I think the right question to ask is where would the Yoruba be without the government?
Re: Where Would Nigerias Economy Be Without The Yorubas. by kingingkinging: 6:15pm On Dec 18, 2012
The tread is unnecessary.

The truth is Yoruba started it, maintains it and sees the future.

From Da Rosha (Yoruba returnee from Brazil)the first Nigerian millionaire in pounds and dollars to the Forbes rated millonaires/billonaires of today- Yoruba controls the economy with the exception of Dangote/Dantata family.

But this will only bring arguemnents because every tribe wants to claim to be the best even when they see clearly that some are better.

My brother, god bless and happy Xmas. Those who are most enthusiastic in their support of group/ethnic achievements are usually those who have no success to celebrate as individuals.

It would have been the best by now. Hausas and yourobas are the cause of our economic mess.
Re: Where Would Nigerias Economy Be Without The Yorubas. by cjrane: 7:21pm On Dec 18, 2012
Nigeria would have been more beautiful than Dubai.
Every Nigerian would all have lived together as one people, electing only those who will serve Nigerians irrespective of their language and most importantly without ever knowing about the word TRIBALISM which i think is a Yoruba word.
Re: Where Would Nigerias Economy Be Without The Yorubas. by bushwailo: 7:32pm On Dec 18, 2012
Another attempt to shift Nigeria away from being a true de-tribalised Nation.
Nice to see the immense contribution amongst many from the yorubas.

If only they did not invent tribalism.
This country would've been way ahead.
Re: Where Would Nigerias Economy Be Without The Yorubas. by Standing5(m): 8:01pm On Dec 18, 2012
^^^ They did not chase southern Cameroon away with tribalism.

Picture As-sou Ekoto, Samuel Eto, Mboma, Olembe-Olembe, and co in Super Eagles for a sec. along side J Aghaowa, Martins, Jay-Jay and realize what we missed out on.
