I took my Audi to an auto shop recently and this is a breakdown of some of their charges. I am not to knowledgeable about cars, so I will like to know if I was ripped off.

oil filter - 5k
VW spark plugs 1,500 * 6 = 9k

Although their service was extremely professional, I still have a nagging feeling that I was "axed".
To those who are in the know, is this true?

My brother, go to where they sell parts and ask them the price of the oil filter and also find out the cost of the plugs. Some mechanics rip-off many guys and I have fallen a prey to them. I buy most of my car parts and ask them to fix it and I pay them off. You have to understand the kind of car u have and take your time to go around any free day you have to find out the prices of most of the parts you use
