Hi all, I am an intern in an ICT company here in Lagos. Currently im in BI unit, but HR has mandated us to learn ASP.net within the next one month.
Please what is the best way to go about this. Im tired of these training centres that are most interested in ripping you off your money without real learning.

Would appreciate any valuable assistance in terms of learning. I need real world practical learning.

Important question: ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Webforms?

Regardless of the answer to the above, ASP.NET is all about building websites. The basic thing to understand is that it is simply a help to generate HTML on the front end. The backend is only about logic. So if I were you:

Week one: creating very simple pages only (if ASP.NET Webforms). If ASP.NET MVC, learning @Razor syntax.
Week two: getting familiar with some common server controls (eg Repeater, if ASP.NET Webforms; or Html helpers if ASP.NET MVC).
Week three: getting conversant with databases.
Week four: revision.

@OP,I think you also need at least a basic knowledge of either vb.net or c#.
