Hello everyone . e haff tay small. Greetings from d oda side. In other words my boy is a year today and im not impressed with his weight. We normally carry egg. Pap. Nutrilac to creche. Can't put food there cos I'm scared of choking. Though he eats swallow at home when I'm back from work. My question is this. For ppl who use packaged food like August secrets or babygrubz wich can I buy to add to the food he eats at creche and will make him "fat" a bit. I read one mama recommend pediasure drink. But no one sells it where I'm based. Is there any oda recommendations. I'm open to suggestions
Cc giddyperson . Zaynie . jazzyjazz. Liftedhands. Everyone . thanks in advance

Happy Birthday to your dear son and may he continually give you joy. Congrats to you too.

About your son's weight, I think you need to deal with your fears as he's old enough to take mashed foods while at the creche except if you're not sure if his handlers at the creche are capable.

why not try out pureed fruits, mashed potato, fried eggs etc for a day or two and ask for a report when you pick him up.
I've never used AS/BG foods so can't say anything on that.
pediasure is recommended for children who are 2yrs and above.

give our boy food o and leave fear fear alone...

cheers

Awww...Huge Congrats Giddyperson. Hunniesuzie dey sharp mouth dey go. See your mate cheesy cheesy. Safe delivery to you and belated birthday wishes to your baby.

Meanwhile TeamJuly17 how far? @lululuv @eksbabe @nnejima and the rest, are you getting set? When I took my baby for immunisation, I saw two ladies that we were all in the delivery room together and they were noticeably pregnant. Fear catch me sha. Am I the only one scared of getting pregnant again? I'm truly scared. I'm not on any FP but I take extra precautions. The day I thought the CD burst, Oga kept reassuring me that it did not but I still went out and bought Postinor 2. I live my any to death but sometimes I'm thinking I can't handle another baby with her. The whole getting pregnant, the stress of delivery, the stress of after birth etc, truth be told ladies, I don't know if I can. I'm scared silly, I no go lie. I see my friends saying do and born all of them at once but I'm my head, I'm like can I breath? What if I decide to have only one child, will that be so bad? I was in so much pain after my C section. I have never been hospitalised in my life and being in the hospital after delivery was a nightmare. I kept begging for pain relief which they kept giving me until one evil matron said I had had enough. I started crying and wailing. My mom was crying too. It was midnight. I remember telling my mom to carry my baby cos I did not think I would make it till morning. My mom screamed and started praying against death. Seriously at that point I was past caring. I just wanted the pain to stop. She then rushed to call my husband cos he and gone to buy her food. They sha shouted and argued with the matron. It wasn't until my mom told the matron that she would pray dangerous prayers for her if anything happened to me before she gave me the pain relief injections. So many other things. Was it the way my belly was swollen for months after? The days I kept thinking to myself who send me? What is this? Na so? The days I did not understand why having a baby had to be so stressful. It's better now, I've got the hang of it and my baby gives me so much joy but I DO NOT KNOW IF I WANNA GO DOWN THAT ROUTE ANYMORE!!! Is this weird? Am I the only one who feels that way? I'm sorry for the long rant.

You are not the only my sis, I am scared too, had a bad experience too as a ftm. But i know i will try again but not yet, make my body heal small abeg, in all, I know the God that stood by me the 1st time will always be there for me so push the fear out, give urself time to heal emotionally n physically. God is in control. It is well.

Congrats Giddyperson. Wishing u a healthy n happy preggy journey. Hope giddybaby is good now. Weldone
Anugod n spiceeamiee I feel u mamas. The after CS pain no be small tin. I thought the pain wld never end. If not that my first was a vaginal birth, maybe I wldnt want more babies sef. In fact, I said it after my CS that thank God we have two kids already ; a boy n a girl so any which way i'm good if we decide to hang booth o grin Thank God the whole ordeal is a distant memory now sha.....n i'm open to the "another serving, please?" option wink but we'r taking a long sabbatical for now. My baby is almost 8mths old. I wonder why ppl used to say CS is the easier way out. The after surgery pain can put the fear of God in somborri

I am telling you, sooo scary. I remember a day my mum n I quarreled cos of my baby n she was like shebi it's because it's cs, u don't know how it feels. I was soo pissed n angry with her because she was there n saw all I went through, but I thank God. My mil keep saying she knows am scared but I should take it off my mind.

Hello mummiess, It has been a really long while in here. Trust our little/not so little ones are doing great.
Congrats to the new mums in here, i’m sure you all are holding up well grin. God will make it easy for us all.
I have a little something to ask, is it possible for teething to stop midway in babies? What i mean is my baby cut his first tooth sometime in January, and shortly after that i thought i noticed changes in the upper tooth(like it was about to come out also).
Since then, the upper tooth has not shown. He’s been getting slight symptoms of teething like a mild rise in temperature, but even when i check, the temperature is always normal so i just give pcm most times.
It could be that i was just over thinking the teeth thing and i thought it was coming out, or it could also be that it actually did look like it was going to, but stopped.
Is the latter possible please?
Pls oo mamas dont look at my character and ignore, i know i have not come here in a while.
Thank you

lol @ your character...I don't know why this was so funny to me

Babies teeth are funny things, you can see the shadow for 3 to 4 months sef before it will break through the gum. Just ignore it, it will come out when it's ready, what you described is normal. It hasn't stopped per se, it will break through when it's ready

Truth is, the memories really don't leave us. The love for our children makes those feelings worth it.....i think you should try and get enough rest, but if you still don't feel better, please see your doctor. it is well with you.

Congratulations and welcome to this amazing mamas thread. happy to have you here with us.

'ipin' is pus in English.
clean the pus gently with clean cotton buds and dispose.it's usually nothing serious but if it persists, pls visit the doctor to rule out any form of infection.

This is not to scare you but it is best you hear from a professional.
