Warfibabe: hello mum.. I know some peeps think it is not necessary but have you tried massaging his navel with hot water?(Not burning hot o!) My older son was that way until my mum pointed out that their navels takes time to close up and heal after the cord has fallen off, that I was suppose to massage and use the baby mentholata till three months. I did that to my son and the whole crying, wriggling, grunting everything stopped.
With my newborn I am still doing it and it is working fine for me.

I gave my kids Milo from 6months n yes they stooled at first n I reduced d Milo,d stooling stopped when they started getting used 2 it.Seriously I av never heard of beverages 4 kids maybe u should ask her so that we can also review it n try it out.

Thanks sis. I have stoped the milo sharpally.lol. its just very litle oh, not more than 2baby feeding spoon! Will try again maybe next week or even later. She said she couldnt remember names but will definately find out when I see her in person.

tjskii: The 1st time I gav my son milo,he also pooped,I figured it was cos his system wasn't used to something so sweet(same thing happened when I started giving him bananas),so I gav it a space of bout 3days and I tried again,gradually d pooping stopped.

Dunno much bout beverages for kids though,I just waited til he was a year old when I cud be sure that to a certain extent his system cud handle wholemilk and adult beverage

Thanks oh. Same thing happened to my boy too when I tried finger bananas, since then I have not attempted finger bananas again. He will be one year by month end.

my sister dis colic gave me sleepless nite more than a month.till my nice told me about d bitter cola,i just pieces it ad use bottle water soak it over nite then i put d water in a container (like water can)once d colic start u use small spoon to give him/her it real work for me.

@lay mornin sweet,u r welkom on board.i suggest u start lil by introducin her first to fruits,i mean child friendly fruits(banana,apples,pineapples,avacado pear,etc)lime,lemon,grape etc r out of it 4 nw,some mums or some babies find it difficult jumpin onto fruits,its kind of strange 4 d young one so d best way to do it is,blend the baby friendly fruits,a mixture(combination)of two or more fruits,use the usual milk u feed him as d base,for blending,(babies are smell,feel nd taste sensitive)so once u bring it close to his mouth/nose the smell of milk will attract him nd he wud find it easier gettin aquinted to this new food,over time u cud gradually stop the smoothie(blended fruits)and introduce her to whole fruits or stick to the smoothie since its an easier way of gettin him/her to eat a good diffrent fruits at a time,offcourse this will kip him/her healthy nd far frm d doctor.n/b if u must use pineapple in ur babies smoothie it must be very ripe.4 ur 3yr old,albendazole suspension is ok,bt pls consult ur doc.

Eyaa sorry 4 d strain,I felt d same way 2 until they started going to sch.n i was relaxed.For d contraceptive its a good idea but i don't use it cos of d side effects they say it has(but one cannot be so sure)n i've not heard about this partocular drug but i wud make an enquiry n get back 2 u

My son is 11mnths+ and not dewormed, but I'v given him water from saint leaf once. I googled about this somtime ago and didnt find where babies are dewormd, just toddlers for some, mayb I'l check again...

@all, the point of breastmilk getting spoilt(in d bossom oh!) is gradually given me concern oh. For two days now my boy has not sucked from the breast(and I'v stoped bumping), he just turns the ni*pple to switch button and uses his tumb on it. I'v always wantd to stop earlier but dont knw why am concerned now. I think he is teething now and maybe the reason for refusing to nurse, but should I be concernd of giving him 'spoilt' milk if he choose to suck later today or tmrw?... realy concerned.... or I should just stop?....arrrgggg!!

pLs, make sure u pump and throw it away before letting him suck o! That's what someone told me.

well i feel yur baby is gradually weaning himself,once he starts to reject suckin,he will hardly go bk to it,did u do EBF for him?i fink u shud gradually start introducin supplement feedin,so he wont starve.theres nofin to worry about,kip pumpin to kip it fresh nd always offer him,even if he dosnt suck,let him play around it abit until he completely rejects it.all d best.

I was on the injectable contra until my second miracle happened when my first was barely 8mons.so I am not towing dat line again. A friend told me abt this method, but she started using it a few weeks ago, so I am a bit skeptical. I would like to know if there is any one here who has used it for up to a year and is working well for her.

I did exclusive ooo, without water until exactly six months! He still is rejecting uptil now,3daz nw, even when I offer him so he could sleep he will hold the thing play horn with it until he sleeps. My Dear I am stoping, yeppeeee!!! will jst mak sure he eats more balancd food...thanks

Also I used gripe water for my baby for her colic...also noticed d colic comes with a lot of gas in her stomach and she gets better when she burps or farts ... massaging helps
another thing that helps is,while feeding baby,burp her or him every few minutes ...it helps

U'r welcome dear.I think u shld talk 2ur paed 2knw d one suitable.My baby is a year + but I remember d paed has prescribed 2 different dewormin meds at different occassions&age namely combactrin&Zentel.So talk 2ur paed&knw d exact dosage 2giv.D one my paed recommended 4me 2b givin on my own is Zentel atleast sh said evry 3mths.Goodluck

It is always convenient 2do exclusive BF.Walai,it'l save u money&anxiety&future guilt but if u realy want 2start supplementin,u shld use superior milk lik Aptamil or similac if u'r bouyant enuf.ur baby wil so lik it.Start 1st by expressin&givin d baby in d feeder so dat he/sh'l get used 2d feeder 1st cos gettin dem 2tak dat feeder is war then wen he/sh masters d feeder,start givin d milk (SMA Gold is good too if u can get d original though I used NAN).Meanwhil u hav 2b d one 2b washin&sterilizin d baby's feeder Urself pls&d feeder has 2b used only once.Any food remainin shld b discarded&not stored in d warmer or fridge 2b fed later.Evry little thng makes them stool&weak.Goodluck

Onec u'v decided u want 2wean,its a gradual process.Start by bf only at nyt then slowly b givin feeder (milk+water) at nyt.Tak less fluid cos d more u ingest food,mor milk formed.For d pain,tak paracetamol.D milk shld dry up within a wk or so of stoppin&wear big strap bra tightly 2hold back d milk.Nomatter how d baby struggles 2force u 2breastfeed,u hav 2hold back cos if u keep bf,d milk wil keep flowin.I didn't even notice wen d milk stopped flowin.
