Mainstreet Bank, defunct Afribank sacked over 600 staff yesterday. The sacked staff were paid off with just 2 months basic salary and were forced to sign undertaking that they would not sue the bank. The executive directors were spread out in various regions, heavily guarded by Mopol while sharing the letters. It was a very pathetic sight yesterday as staff that had spent over 20 years in the bank, left with nothing. It is very unfortunate. |
