Hello Everyone,

I am new here and I must say that I appreciate what you guys are doing here. I am very new to using Peugeot car really (Only 3 weeks actually) and I am coming down with not too pleasant experience already, hence I want you guys to advise me.

My 406 2003 model goes off in motion and I don't know why. I have already replaced the fuel pump but it is still going off while I am driving, today my mechanic advised that maybe it is electrical problem.

I want you guys to advise me, so I wouldn't be wasting money unnecessarily.

Mine did same right up until my timing belt and alternator belt cut at the same time. My advice, check the timing and alternator belt if possible change them if they came with the car.

Ikenna please help me before Auto electricians milk me dry. My 406 shows key sign and when it does, the car will not start. My wipperS are malfunctioning and after a rain my passenger glass won't go up. Was told I have to change brain box and probably, rewire the whole car. Ealing on the comp2000 was hanged but no improvement event. The fuse was also changed. Now, I am told to change windscreen sensor. Please advice me I beg.

mind u, Peugeot 406 is a very good car. iv been enjoying mine for about 5 years now, even though I bought it as Nigerian used.

don't let auto electrician milk u dry. all u said iv experienced b4, they are very simple to fix. ur car will never start when the key sign shows on the dash board. it needs reprogramming . wiper malfunctioning has to do with bsi/brain box stuff while the glass thing is caused by the winding control. don't let them rewire the whole system to avoid further problems.

I have peugeot 406Ew10, it was unfortunate for me that my engine is shorting oil, and it's bringing out white smoke. I was given different options but i also need your counsel as well.
1. I was told to ring it
2. I was told never to ring peugeot engine
3. I was told just to buy half engine
4. I was told i need complete engine
5. I was told just buying the skeleton is o.l

Which one can solve my problem and as in this era of change where cash is no more flowing.

Also how much can i get;
1. Half engine
2. full engine

PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP CAR GURUS IN THE HOUSE

I drive a 1992 Toyota Camry manual transmission.

Lately the car started having occasional/intermitently sluggish acceleration while in motion. It's would accelerate normal sometimes slowly.
I have changed fuel pump, fuel filter in fuel tank and engine bay)
Car idles perfectly and raises well when throttle is pressed.
Gear box in good condition.
Please I need helpful suggestions

1. EW10 D (RLZ)
2. EW10 J4 (RFN)
3. EW10 J4 (RFR)

Which of the engines is found in either 2002 or 2004 versions of 406?
