I'm asking this because it seems anytime a major road, stadium, school etc are renamed it is mostly politicians that they are named after. But people who have made us proud in sports, entertainment, literature, education etc are hardly recognized. Why can't we have a Chinua Achebe university, a Kanu Nwankwo stadium or a Rotimi Williams school of Law. Why must we name almost everything after politicians. Most times the politicians that are being honoured have no bearing on the structure that they're been honoured with.
