dedeike: I will join the call for Diezani's sack anyday someone comes out with a credible evidence of corruption against her apart from all these sentiments been whipped up by the cabal. This is a woman that has brought about critical and groundbreaking reforms in our energy sector. THISDAY NEWSPAPERS rated her as a superlative performer(see SUNDAY THISDAY OF May27 th 2012) and this rating is based on hard undeniable facts.
Groundbreakin reforms indeed! No doubt, the barefaced looting of THREE THRILLION NAIRA in the ministry over which she superintends is in all ramifications a monumentally groundbreakin incident! Given countries like China, she wouldav been having a rendevouz with her ancestors since january! Stupid leaders, foolish folowers angry

What kind of lame thinking is that? Is it only when one comits a crime that they are shown the way outta office? What crime did the NSA and defence minister commit b4 they were shown the door? What hard evidence was there to prove that Oniwon commited any crime? She's incompitent, too much curruption in the ministry she heads.broaden the scope of your understanding of the machinery of administration, it would do you alot of good buddy.
She kicked against the continues payment of subsidy, it's under her regime that these probes are taking place, and now many covered frauds commited many years ago are being uncovered, yet she's incompetent. Well atleast more competent than the Etiebets, the Etetes, the Tam David Wests, and the Obasekis of this world. The Rabble rousers of NairaLand think she's a neophite and an Opportunist, no she's not, and who ever doubts, certainly doesn't know where she's coming from. She didn't commit any offence, she didn't want to resign, the president doesn't want to sack her; what can you do about that...?

Who told you they looted 3 trillion Naira under her watch? Farouk Lawan? Abi your instinct? If its Farouk, then you are stupid. Someone who was stashing dollars in his cap and pants like a butcher gave you a report and you're taking it to the bank. It's a pity. Nothing else could be more foolish than the calls for the implementation of Farouk Lawan's report, it just shows how biased and illogical some people can be. Tell me how can anyone say Farouk is a crook on one breadth and turn around again to insist that a report emanating from a crook should be implemented to the latter. Is that not madness? If anything, the arbitrary manner with which Farouk was tampering with that report by deleting and substituting names of companies on the floor of the house is enough proof to the fact that the report is far frm credible. If you now add to it the allegations that key govt officials from the north like Barkindo and Rilwanu lukman, who presided over the petroleum sector, were not invited to face the panel then you will now begin to appreciate that there's more to the Farouk report than meets the eye

This woman is corrupt, marketers are just mute about her evil activities.
She also has two firm registered to her younger bother used in trading Nigerian crude, there has been many ilegal selling of Nigeria crude by officials of NNPC which Deziani knows about because 8m barrels of crude stole monthly has been attributed NNPC officials and Terminal officials. That cannot happen without her involvement,if reverse is the case then she is incompetent to continue as minister.

That GEJ still hasn't sacked this woman is all the proof we need that he doesn't have Nigeria's interests at heart. It is an established fact that well over a trillion Naira was stolen from areas directly under her supervision. Even if we're to believe that she somehow wasn't aware of the multiple, massive, blatant and crude frauds happening under her nose, all that means is that she is seriously incompetent and should be sacked.

There is no sensible reason for this woman to keep her job. That she is still there only makes sense if you assume that GEJ has no problem with what has been happening in the oil sector. To me that seems far more likely than the "he won't sack her because he's sleeping with her" theory.

After all, all that election campaign money must have come from somewhere.

You sack the whole crew of a ship for negligence and leave the captain.

Nonsense.

Where was the captain when the crew were messing up the ship?

I thought in management they say you delegate authority but not responsibility.

Madam crude oil was the no 1 person in that ministry and if the whole board was found putrefied she must also be decaying.

She should go but GEJ has no political spine to do that.

HOUSE OF REPS FUEL SUBSIDY PROBE:

Farouk Lawan: what is Nigeria’s daily fuel consumption?
Diezieni: 52million Liters
NNPC: 35m liters
DPR: 43m liters
PPPRA: 24M liters
Okonjo: 40M liters

Farouk Lawan: What was the subsidy for 2011?
Diezieni: 1.4Trillion
Okonjo: 1.3Trillion
CBN: 1.7Trillion

Farouk Lawan: Can we have the KPMG REPORT?
Okonjo: I have to go through the report first
Diezieni: I have not seen the report

Farouk Lawan: What is the production capacity of our local refineries?’
NNPC: 30%
PPPRA: 20%
DPR: 13%
Diezieni: 15%

Farouk Lawan: Does Nigeria pay subsidy on locally refined Products?
Diezaini: it depends
NNPC: The lay man cannot understand how it’s done
PPPRA: yes
DPR: No

Farouk Lawan: Why is Kerosene still scarce?
Diezieni: Because its use by the aviation industry as aviation fuel
NNPC: Because there is no subsidy so NNPC overstretched its resources
PPPRA: it’s not properly deregulated

Farouk Lawan: what is the balance in the subsidy accounts?
Diezieni: it’s a virtual account
NNPC: There is no account in existence as the lay man will look at it
PPPRA: The account is a technical one
CBN: There is no account with us for subsidy
Okonjo: The account exists but not with a bank.

I'm shocked that people who pride themselves as intellectuals still premiss their clamor for Diezani's sack on the FACROOK LAWAN subsidy probe Report. What else could be more ridiculous? It's akin to building a mansion on quicksand and expecting it to stand. If Farouk could be stashing money into his caps and pants, then one can imagine how many lies and fake conclusions he may have stashed into that report. As far as I'm concerned, that report is only fit to be consigned into the Chilean mines. Good enough, the Senate has continued its own subsidy probe which actually started before the House probe but was put on hold to allow Farouk/ co act out their drama. Now the drama is over, let the real probe begin.

If you keep waiting for raw evidence, you will wait forever. But I will like to point out that in a more civilized society, she shld have resigned considering the intensity of corrupt related cases hovering over her office as the Petroleum Minister. To prove her innocence, she should decisive in aiding the law enforcement agents....

One thing is sure, if she is not involved in the corruption, then she is absolutely incompetent.. We can not continue to swim in the ocean of her inepitude.

this iidiot above me obviously dont even know what is inside the HOR report. There is a difference btw the questions and answers given during the public investigation that i captured up there and what exactly was stated in the report.
basic questions were asked and it was televised and the above were the responses given. cant u see that u are simply dumb.

Secondly, the HOR while rightly suspending Farouk still insists that the report stays and valid so whats ur point?

Mallamabdul: @Evilbrain. Your brain is indeed evil and lacking in substance. You said "...its an established fact that well over a trillion naira was stolen..." who established the fact? You? Pls be factual. Enough of these gossips.

The best available figures come from the House of Reps report which estimates that 6.8 billlion dollars was stolen over 3 years. 6.8 billion dollars at present rates is 1.108 trilllion Naira.

In any case, the amount doesn't really matter. The president himself admitted that there was massive fraud in an area under her direct supervision. She totally failed to prevent this fraud or raise an alarm either because she was involved or she was incompetent.

Then after the Occupy Nigeria cassarra busted on her head, she hurriedly started inaugurating panels, trying to portray herself as fighting corruption. I wonder why she didn't do all that while the stealing was going on.

Any attempt to to defend this woman would only make you look worse. Luckily for GEJ, a president can push blame on others and use them as a scapegoat for his own sins. If he had any sense at all, he'd have sacked her, disavowed her,and blamed her for everything.

Of course, nobody has ever accused GEJ of having sense.

No matter what, you do not insult a mans wife simply because you do not like the man, talkless of referring to her private parts.

Re: Sack Petroleum Minister Now, Protesters At NNPC Headquarters Tells Jonathan. by jamace(m): 7:33am On Jun 30, 2012
I am yet to be convinced that this GEJ is serious with anything, including fighting corruption. How can the arms and legs be cut-off while the head, the powerhouse, remains?

No matter what that woman is to him, GEJ should have sacked her too. In fact, the woman is the one to be sacked for negligence of responsibility or inefficiency, not those pawns.

I am sad that somebody in his right senses is saying that that woman has not done anything wrong.

Those who protect and talk trash in favour of bad governance because of their financial benefits should remember that history will bring all acts to judgement.
