WIZGUY69:...have you ever been to Nsukka before? Those pictures depict houses sited on hills and valleys, and also a developing area of NSK (i.e. Obukpa layout and Olivet hill sides ) which is growing and sprawling to form a conurbation of a greater Nsukka urban area. The main urban area of NSK (which we call town) is far from where those pix were snapped. Nsukka is fast developing, and as he said the 'forest' or lush vegetation also adds beautiful to the town. 4 Likes |

You're mistaking congestion to development. Our towns will be well developed if we can change this Nigerian mentality of thinking unplanned, congested houses translates to proper development. Development is not about tall houses, but about proper planning. You need to read United Nation's definition of Development. According to your reasoning, when houses are surrounded by vegetation, it means there's no development. What happens to the issue of Climate change in relation to Vegetation...what matters most in development is proper planning, and that is lacking in every Nigerian Cities and towns. No Nigerian city or town is well planned. I will happy to see a forum for igbos and i will personally promote it, like i promoted Nairaland but the ones I have seen so far is sectional. Website designers should use names that are pan igbo, Omambala is sectional, if the name can be changed to something pan igbo then i did log in. And Until that is done I can't leave Nairaland. Imagine what your view of Nairaland would have being if name like Odudua land was used instead of Nairaland WIZGUY69: 4 Likes |

centje:I think what you mean is comprehensive planning. I believe there are several variables that makeup a completely planned city but the resources are not easy to come by, so some cities will have to settle for what they can afford. 2 Likes |

centje: They should change it to "Ogene" or "ofornogu" or "Ikenga" and I will support it but this Omambala thing won't work going by their antecedents and what they will later say. 5 Likes |
