Hi guys,
need some advice here. My EOD (2003 V6) has transmission issues. First noticed it when the car was reving very high like if it refused to move to a higher gear, subsequently I couldnt shift into reverse except i turned off and turned on the car. Later on in the day my check engine light came on. Got the car scanned with the following code "P0747 Solenoid Stuck On".

My mechanic worked on it (he said he cleaned the solenoid switch - or something), check engine light is now off. I do however feel, the transmission is not as smooth as it used to be.

Need some advice on what to do, do I just need to get the transmission serviced (drain and change the ATF fluid), or will I eventually have to change my gear box.

please make sure you use detron 3 atf very important, avoid abro.

thanks for the advice. So I guess this means just servicing the transmission should be ok.
