The last number 4, 6, or 8 indicate the number of print head wich is the most sensitive and expensive part of the printer. 4 printhead is the basic set-up (and the cheapest) and uses one printhead per primary colour of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. The 6-printhead machine adds two more colours called Lower-Magenta and Lower-Cyan for wider colour blend and output. We usually discorauge our customers from buying 6-print head because they have to stock up 6 types of colours instead of just four for the 4-printhead. Also, most user are ok for the colour output from the 3204 machine.

For ZY-3208, the printheads are 8 in number but uses same four colours as ZY-3204. However, two printhead are dedicated per colour with the result that ZY-3208 is faster than ZY-3208. We can say 3208 is twice the speed of 3204. Most buyers stay away from it because of cost. The type of printhead used by ZY is Seiko Printhead. Other brands and other printer range of ZY uses other type of printheads such as Xaar printhead, etc. The first two numbers 32 means 3.2m (or 10ft) and is used to represent width of the printer i.e the printer can printer maximum of 10ft. Smaller printers have code of ZY-1504 which means 1.5m width printer with four Seiko printheads.
