Please has anyone else noticed that glo internet stopped working since around midnight? Could it have something to do with the DNS Changer virus? Up till now I can't access the internet through my glo line.

What area are you? I'm on the mainland, around Alausa. MTN and other networks seem to be working fine. Why must it be glo all the time? I'm just fed up with this useless network.

are u guys all sure the problem is not from your own devices? i dont think the DNS changer can affect enterprise and BIS servers that host your access to the internet.

if 4 million computers have been infected worldwide you can be sure 99.9% of those computers are end user computers like yours. so, maybe you guys should check and be sure your own PCs are not the ones infected rather than thinking the problem is coming from Glo

No doubt the issue is from glo.. Mtn is okay on my system but glo is not

Same as me. I realized the internet did not work around 10:30pm last night. Now I joined a daily date plan from my MTN card. Hope this can be fixed within today.
Can I claim this extra expense from GLO....

It is from Glo as this sms has shown. Their IVR services is also playing the technical problems as well.
Let's just hope that it will be resolve soon.

Can you imagine. I didnt get any such text message from them oh. I even tried calling their 3G customer care line (444) and the regular customer care (121), they did not bother to answer the calls at all. It is definitely a glo problem, as my reserve mtn line is working well both on my computer and on the phone. I believe it must have something to do with the DNS Changer thing, since the timing is too suspicious. Glo really has much to learn, it is very frustrating.

There has been a fibre cable cut on the Main One. This is affecting Glo mainly but it is also affecting other service providers like iPNX. Glo doesn't have a line through SAT-3 and thus it's services are very much degraded.

Let's hope they get it fixed soon.

Doubt the fault is on MainOne. MainOne cable is fine. Glo have their own fibre Glo-1, which is the one with issues.

The issue has to do with Glo-1 fiber cable cut and glo. Hopefuly estimate to get it fix by july 10

guys, i think its not glo's fault. its due to internet black out today july 9 controlled by fbi. im sure service should be restored tomorrow unless they want to use gen as pendant.

Thankfully, I dropped my Glo Internet sim 3days ago when it expired and I found that Etisalat has my desired data plan.

It's funny how big companies like Glo can make some very basic and fundamental mistakes. Why didn't they get a connection to MainOne or SAT-3 (if still alive) just for a time like this? Forget that you are a large telecoms company, outages can happen and a company should always be prepared. Better than throw your whole network into darkness.
