Egba girl: I really dont get this thread. Is it about reading books or reading E-BOOKS? Y'al making seem like E-BOOKS are the ish. I mean what if they prefer buying hard copies? It would have been different if the question had been books in gen and not e-books. still smh.

Wat this thread means is dat 'Girls do not read educative materials' rada d spend most of their money buying SEXY MOVIES, LATEST FONES, LATEST FASHION OF KLOTHS, 75 Inches Of Brazilian Hair etc.

Not only Nigerian Ladies, but african as a whole. There's a saying that if you want to hide anything from a black man, put it in a book. He will never read it. We all need to change from this deadly habit

Why are we Nigerians so petty about things? So buying e-books has become a status thing now?

Hmmmmm, I weep for the 'future'.

I agree with U. But the way @OP asked his question didn't reflect that most book(including e-books) contains wisdom, rather as if e-books are status indicator.
I think NL has been invaded by juveniles.

One problem with this thread is that it is such a generalization. How can you say Nigerian girls dont read!!! Out of how many millions. The Nigerian girls I know read and read wide. Yal just need to get with the intelligent ones. It is also very possible to balance both fashion and books. Many Nigerian girls read.

The only way this topic makes sense is if the OP is thinking of starting an ebook business which caters ONLY to Nigerian Girls and he is doing a feasibility study.

What say you. . .OP?

For now, I've got more important stuff to do with money, so just want to find a place to download it for free, if anyone can help out....and before some nutjob flings baseless accusations at me, I'm still a student living on pocket money from my parents, and I definitely am not waiting on a moneybag to give me squat.

U guys disgust me!!! There are so many tech savvy and intelligent Nigerian girls, yet u chose to generalize with d dumbos who's primary care is servicing u and buying brazilian hair. Nigerians in general don't read, ebook or paperback, so why take it out on the girls? Most of the foolish guys commenting don't read anything that isn't porn so who are you to judge? I read a lot of books and in recent times ebooks, though I don't buy dem. why pay for wat u can get free? Now guys, if u know u have insulted a woman, then ur an ignorant fool and all the ebooks in d world can't help u......

The answ depends on many factors, generally not many people know about the flexibility and ease of having e-book over hard cover tho both have its own pro and cons, secondly not many ppl know where to get ebooks related to their field, have internet access, even if they do, ease of buying no matter how important it is. some may not have requisite reading medium (pc /ipad etc) to conveniently utilize ebooks, so in d face of some of these hurdles it may be easier getting available hard cover as alternative or simply divert the cash to other things like . . . . . (dont ask me, i'm sure u alr knw) but a guy will always seek ways to get the knowledge he desire, so if its as easy or difficult as getting an ebook, he won't mind. Don't forget girls may have more need for ebooks when in school whereas guys just need to upgrade to compete with contemporaries and most of the materials he needs when in and out of school are in this e-format, so...

Just to help the OP. The OP ios only trying to do a feasibility studies and it seem a lot of people got this wrong andf start attacking ladies instead.

The OP should have posted this in the business section and he would have got more relevant and informed response and opinions from people who have experience.

However, to help him out.....

Its easier to sell books to ladies/women/wives than to sell to men. If you have a genuine product (e-book) that solves a problem, they'll buy it from you.

Truth is...what you are selling is not the E- book. Its the solution to a problem.

There are loads of free ebooks online. Your own must be able to have what those free ebooks don't have.

Also, you need to have a rock solid marketing. Using a product launch system can help you sell loads.

So there you go, if you need more information, simply ask and I'll try and respond on this thread.

Yes...people buy books and ladies/women buy it more. It takes a producing mind to figure it out...not someone who goes about all thread trying to post an answer to every single question even without knowing what they are talking about.

Thanks so much for this as I also said something similar to this in the 1st page.

Ladies buy ebooks most which implies that they know what EBOOKS are the most.

Final and let this thread be closed up.

What is so special about buying an ebook? Some people buy books but don't have the time to read them. I read ebooks, but I don't buy them. Why buy, when I can download them for free?

Tanx all for d diffrent comments, bt still is of the obvious truth dat rarely do gurls buy ebooks even if they do, is of every possibility dat they got dat for free, bt dt aside. Though, is quite ok wit does of u gurls who said u download ur ebooks for free but truly dats not impressive wen looking @ d luxury stuffs u gurls cud spend a futune for. Look at him giving vote of thanks. Hehe. Like our responses didn't help shape this into an actual thread. You were confused at the beginning but still wanted attention, and so you included the nigerian girls in your title. I would believe different, if you hadn't modified your very first post. It's all good though.
