Three Missiles were fired in Jos yesterday, one was at an Islamic school full with students and two near an office of the Special Task Force (STF), bring tensions in the city that has been overwhelmed by persistent violence.

A 10 year old boy was killed in the first attack that targeted the Islamic School in Bukuru area of Jos at 10.30am, while two more people were found dead in the neighborhood soon after.

In the attack on the School, eyewitnesses said three anonymous persons came to the area and fired a grenade from a red Golf car as students of the Islamic school were writing exams.

The grenade which missed the school then hit a nearby home, killing a boy named Rufai Umar.

Authorities speedily blocked the school and told the students home.

Mr Bala Baba Mohammed, Secretary of the elders committee in Bukuru, told newsmen that two other person, by name Yusuf and Waje, were found dead in the area few minutes later.

“One (had) bullet wounds and the other was hacked by a sharp object,” he said.

“The victim of the rocket launch on the 10 year old Rufai Umar, his brain is wide open and all over the place. The situation is pathetic.
