Hi guys,I'm looking to push between 5ook and 1M into the market in January.My question is which is better: should I leave it in the hands of a portfolio manager or should I manage it myself?.I will be out of Abuja for a while hence wont have access to my broker often and I need reasonable returns.Please good people advice me.I'll be in Delta state. |

If i were you, I would manage it myself. If you are in Abuja, deal with an Abuja brokerage firm. |

Manage it yourself with good communication withyour broker. Also, it is better topush in the fund in Dec than Jan since the prices of stocks may soar in Jan (post holidays). Gte your broker to advice you via emails and learn to send mandates via email/sms if your broker permits. |

Hi, Manage it yourself;It is your money. You have a lot to learn within a very short period if you handle it by yourself and it's usually a worthwhile experience. Peace. |

dustydee: Chikena! E don finish! I've only been to my brokers office 3 times in 3 yrs. I've never met my current account officer. Thank God for email and phones. Stay plugged into this forum and you'll learn to compete with (or beat) any portfolio manager in Naija. And invest in Dec. Jan will be HOT. |
