Liljumy: I knew it wasn’t possible for your husband to get the visa. UK are very strict and straightforward with their rules. I didn’t want to talk earlier but reading your update now gives me opportunity to talk. Please, stay away from agents henceforth. I knew the agent must have duped you for that sum of money since your husband got the visa.
They are lots of trusted agents who help with admission process. Some don’t charge a fee while some charge very little. The agent might have even contacted the agents that don’t charge while he keeps the whole money to himself.
The fishy part was when you said the agent told your husband to present only the HND result at the school. That was when I knew the agent used only the HND.
A friend of mine used fake documents for her study visa via agent and was banned for 10 years. She got her refusal and ban letter last week so I was surprised when you said your husband got his visa.
I’m glad the agent confessed before it was too late. What if your husband forfieted the admission or requested for a refund? Thank you. You should have commented earlier. Maybe it would have hastened the confession . Abi o, thank God he hasn’t requested for refund as that was the last option since it’s clear that they won’t refund him. |

LagosismyHome: UK admissions is so easy.... the Visa process a bit meticulous but straightforward as well
Ideally why should someone use an agent for UK masters. When you do , is when you get him said they said I said story...... but When you do it yourself you know exactly what since you own the process.
Thanks for sharing, so other can learn to stay away from agents
Glad to hear it sorted, even though my Thank you. |

Update on my earlier post. Thank you for the advices. However, All is now Well. My husband called the person that linked the agent to him and after so much arguments and fights, the agents later came clean. He said he didn’t make or use any forged certificate. He said he got schools that accepts HND but because he knew my husband didn’t know much about it, he lied to him so as to collect more money. He presented some evidence and it was sorted. However, the 500k paid to the agent cant be gotten back.
P.S: The agent said he knew there was no way my husband will have gotten away with the fake certificate and transcript he didn’t even bother making one as he didn’t even know how to. |

A2O2: Goodmorning nairalanders. Thank you all for all the updates and encouragement. I am in a dilemma. My husband has HND and he wanted to go for masters in UK. He reached out to an agent and the agent told him that he can’t go for masters with HND. The agents told him not to worry and he collected 300k for the admission application. He also collected additional 200k for visa processing asides from the visa application fee. All documents used for visa application was gotten by my husband and they are genuine documents. My husband later got to know that he forged Bsc certificates for him. He used that and the HND to get admission for my husband. My husband got the visa and has paid tuition deposit.
My mind keeps telling me that he might get caught. I told him but he said there is nothing he can do now as he has already paid tuition deposit and there is no refund. He is to travel this April. He said the agent told him that they won’t verify the certificates and if they want to, he should present only his HND. I’m scared for my husband.
P.S: This is beginning to bring problems in my marriage. My husband said he didn’t know he used a fake certificate for him until when he was about going for biometrics when the agent mentioned it to him. My husband is an honest man who was deceived but now he can’t afford to forfeit £5,500. . |

STENON: My advice : Forfeit the admission, forget about the visa and face the reality now. Let him reapply for another course/another school that accepts HND. If lies go for 10 years, the truth will definitely prevail one day. Your name will be published on newspaper, you will be deported and banned. Thus making it difficult for other genuine applicant to apply directly to UK schools with student copy of their certificate, and UK school starts demanding for the official mailing of your credentials through your institution. Please save yourself now and not later!
I mentioned it last week for people to stop patronizing agents. These agent know nothing about travelling from lekki to oshodi, not to talk of travelling abroad. You are right , that is why I’m scared and keep on telling him but he thinks I’m not considerate and just after my belief. Thank you very much. |

Abiscoco: You said your husband is resuming in April? When in April? Because you can only apply for Visa 3 months before your programme starts. So are you sure he is finding out after Visa grant or you just want to know before he goes ahead for Visa application? Yes. He is traveling this April but school resumes March. He intends requesting for an extension from the school as we have an important family function by March. He got the visa already. Was gotten last week. |

LagosismyHome: HND do get masters admission to some schools in UK . However he is playing with fire risking to start a waka with fake document. While he might be excited to travel and has already spent money in Visa, those are even small things he has lost compared to if he already here and they find out . It will be a mess to sort out
He needs to work with the school and not the agent regarding a refund. Is he certain that the school does no refund . If enrollment is still on maybe they will issue a refund What if he comes clean with the school and tenders his HND certificate? Do you think it can help the situation? |
